Koh Lanta Mountain view Hotels

It was a beautiful experience — the entire resort was surrounded by nature. The staff were incredibly helpful and very kid-friendly. My children loved playing with the toys, and the infinity pool was absolutely stunning. There’s also a lovely treehouse overlooking the valley, complete with bean bags for relaxing. The food was fantastic too! Very close to the beach just 5 minutes walk and the staff arranged different tours with discounted rates.

Upon arrival at Lanta Triple Novel, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. His hospitality truly made us feel at home, assisting us with everything we needed. We stayed in the bungalows, which were spacious and well-equipped. There was a clothes drying rack inside and another on the porch—this was the first hotel where we had ample space to dry our clothes. The porch was furnished with plastic chairs and a table, perfect for relaxing outdoors. The bungalow featured a small kitchenette accessible from the porch through a side door, which is convenient if you're planning a longer stay. Inside, there was a small plastic wardrobe for storing clothes and a mini-fridge. The only thing missing was a table and two chairs inside the room, which would have added to the comfort. The air conditioning was strong and kept the room cool. The location was very quiet, allowing us to rest peacefully. The only minor inconvenience was during heavy rain when the metal roof became quite loud. We rented a scooter from the owner at a decent price, making it easy to explore the island. Although there's a restaurant as part of the hotel, we didn't have the time to dine there. Originally, we planned to stay for three days but ended up extending our stay to four because we enjoyed it so much. The location is perfect—it's close to the beach, and there's a 7-Eleven just around the corner where you can get everything you need for your stay. It's a 4-minute drive to Saladan Pier, so you'll have an easy time catching ferries or speedboats for further travel. Overall, our experience at Lanta Triple Novel was excellent. The friendly owner, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location made our stay memorable. The peace Tara House is a very good place to stay in Koh Lanta. The owner are amazing and very kindly :) Also, the location is very good. I recommend it to you

Loved this place so much and in my opinion it’s the best option on the island (there are only maybe 15-20 hotels and most of them are a bit drabby or don’t have a pool or nice beach). That being said, Koh ngai isn’t for everyone so take in to account a few things- 1 there are no roads and very few shops, basically just the hotels, there isn’t even an atm machine on the island. 2 the beach faces east which means great sunrises but sunsets can be hit or miss compared to the west facing beaches. Swimming is a bit tricky, lots of rocks and coral and the tide swings are pretty big, but that does make it surprisingly good for snorkeling and there aren’t really any waves. Also last thing- thanya has a huge pond with about 12 Komodo dragons which is awesome.

I really liked this hotel. The staff is quite friendly, everyone tries to help you, from the very early morning everyone works like a bee to make your stay pleasant and carefree. We had a nice spacious room, a comfortable bed with a firm mattress, soft pillows and crisp linens. A special pleasure is a shower under the stars ☺️☺️☺️ Among the shortcomings - the slippers are not disposable and they were dirty. And the soundproofing in the adjacent room is very poor. But overall this is a very good hotel for the money. The breakfasts are wonderful - everything is fresh and tasty 🔥

The house is clean, the bedding is comfortable, the boss is very attentive and considerate, and the recommendations are all good. The facilities need to be improved. There is no hair dryer or kettle. You have to ask for it before you can get it. It feels so strange. Is there a hair dryer for washing hair? Why bother? The deposit of 1,000 is also strange. I stayed in 6 hotels during the whole trip, and this is the only one that requires a deposit. It may be due to the peak season. I booked a room on Ctrip. 8 Chairman Mao tickets for one night are too expensive and do not match the facilities. I think 4 or 5 tickets are OK.

I stayed at the Tamarind Twin resort as a solo traveller for 4 nights and thought it was very good. The place is in a nice quiet location both close to the beach and restaurants and bars on the high street. The staff were very helpful and I booked all my trips and ferry journeys with them along with a scooter rental. The pool was nice for a dip after being at the beach and I could always get a sun lounger. I would have no hesitation booking this place again if I return to Koh Lanta.

Wonderful find. I spent hours trying to find rhe right place and I did. Rim Khao is a lovely little group of bungalows that back into the forest, but are conveniently on the main road and just a 10 minute walk from the beach. This is a brilliant place for a really good price. I spent hours watching the monkeys, ants, lizards, frogs, birds and butterflies that were very present. As I had no transport and only a walking budget, was limited where I went. But there was enough. The beach is beautiful for swimming and sunbathing. There is little shade, but if you walk to the end of the beach, theres a lot more shade there. If tou are happy to scramble the rocks, there is plenty of wildlife there too....fish, a billion crabs and brazen seabirds.there are plenty of restaurants, both local and tourist all just a stones throw away and the walking street is as good as any. The room was very quiet with air con and a fan that were efficient. The hot water was plentiful in the shower and cleaners were operating every day. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and English was really strong which of course is always appreciated , but never expected. The pool is more of a plunge pool, but thats all i personally ever need. You may consider it needs a bit of tlc, but it didnt bother me. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the road could barely be heard.just remember that the call to prayer can be heard almost everywhere. Oh, and a 7/eleven right next door. Amazing, and i hope to go back.

Pros: Great location – Klong Dao Beach is just a couple of minutes away via a concrete path to the left of the hotel entrance (though swimming can be tricky at low tide). It's also close to the good northern part of Long Beach. There's a decent-sized 7/11 right across the road. The hotel offers a terrace area with low tables and floor cushions, perfect for smokers. There's also a luggage storage room, handy for leaving bags for a few hours before or after check-in. The beds are comfortable, and each room has its own bathroom (toilet, shower, sink). Plus, there are extra sinks near the reception, so no issues with washing up. The bed linen is good. There's a curtain, but it's for two people, not individual. Each bed has its own fan, plus a shared one. A kettle is also provided. Cons: It's a bit pricey, comparable to a decent hotel in Bangkok. Check-out is at 11 AM instead of 12 PM. There's some road noise, but it's not critical; earplugs weren't needed. Air conditioning runs on a schedule, which seems to be a common practice in this area. More hooks are needed; even a couple of nails in the bathroom would be helpful. There's a large gap between the bed and the wall that's quite dirty – no need to move anything to clean it, and the dust, hair, and fur are very visible against the white linen. While I was there, they mowed the grass behind the hotel, but it's otherwise an overgrown wasteland. This space could easily be turned into a lounge area or smoking spot without much investment, perhaps just a tarp tent like at the Saladan night market, or ideally, a pool! On the opposite side of reception, there's an abandoned area with toilets and some other room. The potted palm trees are drying out.

Very nice and quiet bungalow. It's kind of out in the middle of nowhere. You'll sleep with and wake up to the sounds of nature. The bungalows are well taken care of. Ada (the owner) is very friendly and helpful! The drive to Long Beach/downtown is a gorgeous drive and takes about 30 minutes.
