Overall our stay was nice. The hotel renovations are very well done. We enjoyed the pool, beach and amenities. The location is great and very central. The food options are a little limited and although the front desk, greeters, pool/beach attendants and cleaning staff were all very pleasant, we found the restaurant staff to be unfriendly and inattentive which was a little bit of a turn off in returning to the on-site locations. After the first day, we went elsewhere for food.
Overall we had a very nice and relaxing vacation and would recommend the hotel to other guests.

The staff was amazing, the pools and beach were great. Walking distance to many things. Busy in the area due to cruise ships everyday, but not a negative at all

The view, easy access to a gorgeous beach, nice warm pools, beautiful gardens a cozy fire by the gardens to enjoy the nights, all these and more make British Colonial an awesome place to enjoy vacations.

Excellent location. Walking distance to downtown and the local attractions. The renovated premises have a beautiful lobby and pool area. Nice to see the gigantic cruise ships float past to the harbor in the mornings and evenings. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Great value for money.

I had a wonderful vacation. My room was a standard King facing the street. It was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel is cashless, but there is a McDonald’s and Dunkin Donut across the street. Downtown is around the corner from the hotel with shopping and restaurants. We decided on Senor Frog. The weather this time of year is great. We enjoyed the patio, the lounge chairs around the pool as well as the beach. They only down side is the way they hold money on your credit card when you check in and when you check out. It was different from other hotels. They did a hold on my credit card after my stay because I had a resort fee charge, but they assure me the holds will be returned to my credit card. I will just have to keep an eye out on that. But all in all I had a great stay at The British Colonial.

Enjoy my stay with family. Gorgeous property - newly renovated - at the time of our stay not all restaurants open but the breakfast area and pool restaurant were open and delicious. Would highly recommend

Excellent stay at the newly renovated hotel. Clean and beautiful grounds, common areas and room. Very friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast and tasty lunches at the pool. Wonderful stay would highly recommend a visit.
