Days Inn by Wyndham New York Chinatown

This hotel was really great for a stay in NYC! I love staying in Chinatown because of the food options. It's a walkable distance to shopping in Soho, and hip dining in LES and the Bowery. Right next to the Grand Av Station B/D train stop to get around. I visited during the winter and the room was very cozy and well heated. Hot water was never an issue. Front desk staff were super nice and helpful. The hallways do echo quite a bit if you are a light sleeper. Room was a great size for budget accommodation. Folks who say otherwise are probably not familiar with NYC budget hotels.

I had an extremely disappointing stay at this hotel due to both poor service and a serious SECURITY ISSUE. Upon check-in, I was moved to a different room, and shortly after, one of my belongings—a pair of shoes—was STOLEN. I reported it the next morning, at which point no new guests had checked into the room, meaning only the cleaner had access. I thoroughly checked my luggage and even asked the receptionist to verify, confirming the item was missing. Despite this, the hotel refused to let me review security footage, which would have clearly shown that my shoes were in the hotel. No resolution was provided during my stay, and after escalating the issue with the online booking agency, I was only offered a ridiculous compensation that didn’t even cover a third of the item's cost. The service overall was unacceptable. Breakfast consisted of a pre-packed bag with low-quality food, given at reception—no coffee, no milk, and no proper meal. To make matters worse, we weren’t even informed that there was a dining area on the top floor until the third day. Additionally, the hairdryer was not working, and the sink drainer was clogged, showing a lack of maintenance. This hotel lacks both basic service standards and proper security. I wouldn’t stay here again and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a SAFE and comfortable stay.

Perfect size for solo traveler, must say this hotel is really new and freshly built. Highly recommended for business sample stay with fair prices. Close to subway restaurants deli convenient store just around the corner. I’ll definitely come back for my next stay.

Very friendly, cooperative and accommodating staff. I needed to iron my dress, hotel did not had so Wriddi called me shortly saying he bought a new iron for me to use and that I return after using it. Hotel didn’t had water/ice dispenser so he gave complementary water. New hotel, beds and room was in perfect condition They posted hot breakfast but it was to-go bag breakfast which is typical in NY or big cities. They should not post hot breakfast served would be my comment.
