You can see the Nice Carnival from your room! The building is located along the parade route, so from the ocean view rooms you can get a view like the one in the photo, and from the park view rooms you can see the spectator stands and the park. If you want to get a good view of the parade, I recommend a room with a balcony on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The family in the room next door brought confetti and let it rain down from above to liven up the atmosphere 🥳 I think it's a great way to enjoy the parade safely even with children 👍The room is cute too!

Pros: Beautiful room with a wonderful view of the sea. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. Location was flawless. Cons: The breakfast was amazing, but the options were the same every day without any changes. Gym was almost non-existent. The dinner options were heavily mushroom/truffle focused which made it difficult for me who suffers with allergies to them.

The 12 square meter room is really too small, but the sea view facing the Bay of Angels in Nice also makes us forget the size of the space temporarily. In front of the building is the beach of the English Street, behind the building is the market of the old town of Nice, and opposite is the City Hall. Sitting on the terrace, you can watch the tourists coming and going, just in time for the French music festival in summer. The breakfast is rich, and you can squeeze fresh juice by yourself. The apple pie and lemon pie are especially delicious.

It's a good location, just a few minutes walk from the tram station from the airport, and just a few minutes from the beach. Check-in is at 3pm, but we arrived before 12pm and were allowed to check in right away. Because of this, the amenities weren't ready, but we called and they were ready right away. Even when we offered to give a tip to the staff, they didn't smile and didn't accept it, and were very friendly. There are many restaurants and a supermarket near the hotel, so we could buy desserts after meals and alcohol we didn't have enough to drink. There was also a terrace with a nice view of the square in front of the sea. The breakfast was filling and very delicious.

The hotel is well selected, the location is excellent, just across the street is the beach, three minutes walk is Massena Square, downstairs turn right is the restaurant gathering area, the hotel turns towards the beach and there is a McDonald's, the neighborhood is generally safe, there is also a small Asian convenience store downstairs next to the hotel, you can buy mineral water, fruit, instant noodles, etc., you don't have to worry about food and drink. The disadvantages are also quite obvious, that is, the hotel is relatively old, and you may not have too high expectations for the hygiene and facilities inside. I booked the cheapest interior room, the room is a little small, and the design of the TV wall in the middle cuts the space a bit, and there is no place to put the big suitcase after spreading it out. Location is king, if you don't have high requirements for the room hardware (and the price is right), this Mercure is still very good

The advantages are that the hotel is located in Angel Bay, the breakfast is delicious, and the room has been renovated and is not too old. But there is one thing that is very unsatisfactory. We booked a double room with a child's bed, but when we checked in, we were assigned a very small, very damp room in the most corner (facing the linen room). There was no bathtub, the bathroom was very shabby, the washbasin was very small, the room space was almost too big to open the suitcase, and there was no light... It was not until we found that the room facilities were broken and strongly requested to change rooms that we were given another double room, which was three times larger than the previous one!!! There was also a bathtub, and the bathroom and washbasin were also in the normal star hotel format. I seriously suspect that the hotel is looking at people and thinking that we don't speak the language, which makes me not choose this hotel again.

The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were very pleasant and helpful, on the last day we got breakfast at 6:00 a.m., despite the fact that it was officially only from 7:30 a.m. The hotel provides luggage storage for early arrival or late departure. We got a free upgrade to a superior room facing the courtyard. The room is new, clean, comfortable. The bathroom is also small but clean and well equipped. Cleaning and towel change was done every day and the cleaning was detailed. The breakfast was excellent (yogurts, cereals, ham, cheese, sausages, scrambled eggs, croissants, cakes, fruit, fruit puree, jams,...), the weak link was the coffee. The drip coffee in a thermos was weak, the coffee from the machine (cappuccino, latte, cocoa) was made of powder. At the bar, they have an espresso machine, with such a small number of guests, the bartender would surely manage to make everyone a normal high-quality espresso, and the guests would appreciate it.
