It would have been a five had it not been for the annoying/migraine inducing EDM reverberating through the walls from the nightclub next door. I believe the rooms that adjoin this establishment should come with an advisory. We could not sleep well for two of the three nights we were there. Otherwise the staff are attentive and the building is beautiful. It reminded me of Andalucía and Morocco.

I have stayed here twice and my more recent experience was extremely disappointing. There was construction noise next door all hours of the night and all day. I complained and they would not move my room. The room had almost no natural light and felt like a dungeon. And to add insult to injury, they have now accused me of taking a robe from the room and are charging my credit card 1,400 pesos. Of course I didn’t take anything, so this is just offensive given I paid over $2,000 US on this hotel room. I wish I had stayed somewhere more reasonably priced. This was not worth the cost. Next time I will stay at Casa Antonieta.

Fabulous stay at Pug Seal Oaxaca! The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The hotel itself is very unique, as well as the decor. The hotel has a very tranquil and peaceful vibe. Love the open air courtyard. The breakfast and service is excellent. Great location in the heart of Oaxaca. We highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Oaxaca!

Great location...amazingly quiet for being in Centro District. Spacious rooms. Lighting could be a little better. No elevator that I saw. Laundry is excellent and fast, fast, fast. Very few rooms. Breakfast is great! Staff is wonderful...almost all of them speak English.

Wonderful boutique hotel with WONDERFUL service, excellent location and incredible breakfast. My husband and I had a great weekend. Highly recommend for anyone looking to escape and connect. We can't wait to be back in wonderful Oaxaca.

Gracious and quiet setting, with beautiful murals and art installations throughout. Fantastic breakfasts served outside in delightful small table settings. Attentive and responsive staff -- first class service. Centrally located with easy access to the Zocalo, shopping districts, and numerous excellent restaurants. The perfect Oaxaca experience!

Beautiful hotel and excellent service. Vibes are immaculate and matches oaxaca. Good in the heart of downtown, everything within walking distance. Great friendly staff. only complaint - we got a smoking room and it smelled like s#!+ and wifi/internet not great.
