There was a smell as soon as I entered. It's Okaya Station, so there's nothing to see nearby. To see Lake Suwa, you had to take the train for 20 minutes and walk for 30-40 minutes. Water is also provided once a day.

今回は運良くホテル側の駐車場が空いてたのでラッキーでした。部屋からの眺めは場所が駅前なので期待しない方がいいかな。朝食のバイキングは中々の品揃えでいいですよ。

The hotel just near the station and that was good and maybe only good. They allocated us a non-smoking room but it was quite smelly of cigarettes. I believe the room was supposed to be a smoking room before and no deodorization well. The bed mattress didn't absorb the vibrations so it is not comfortable if you sleep on a double size bed with two. The sofa cover had some big stains on it and seems not to be clean. However, the town doesn't have any good hotel actually and you may not find a good alternative one.

部屋もきれいで比較的広く、ベッドサイズも大きくゆっくり休めました。
気になった点は
・部屋のIHコンロの電源が入らず、お湯を沸かせない時があった事
・食堂がせまい。窓際の１人席へはいれない。

前に岡谷に住んでいて、お友達や趣味の仲間に会ったりするのに便利でした。
繁華街も近く、直ぐ行け、ローソンも近くで助かりました。
チェックイン直ぐのお部屋は、タバコ臭かったですが‥クラーと空気清浄機回してたら気にならなくなりました。
