Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites - Waterpark, an IHG Hotel

Great place to stay with your family and friends!

Numerous code violations, to include hotel elevator expired certification. Once got to hotel amount I paid doubled due to resort fees and parking. Resort features like big pool were all closed down

Hotel pool was closed for repair, checking in took almost an hour. Could not sleep due to guest yelling and swearing after 11 pm had to call security to get them to stop. Breakfast was 60 $ for 2 people when it was advertised for 19$ a person. Could not get a seat by the water park way over crowded. Had to ask maintenance for toilet paper and find a maid for towels. Hotel fees were double what was advertised. Very upset may never use this app again

Our room was dirty when we got there at 9:30pm to checkin. Crumbs and overall detritus all over the floor, bugs in the bathtub, old food in the sink, a dead bug on the bed, and a long hair under the sheets. My daughter sat on the bed and it tipped over on her. Rather than put us in a clean, functioning room, we had to wait almost an hour for maintenance and housecleaning to come clean and fix the bed. Finally around 12:00AM the housekeeper was finished cleaning the room. Mind you, we have 3 kids ranging from 2-9 that couldn’t sleep until after midnight. The next day guests stuck trash in the hallway and it sat there the entire day before it was picked up. Housecleaning came and took away our towels and didn’t replenish them entirely, so we were short a couple towels. We were at this hotel for an event across the street at the Marriott and requested a late checkout. As an IHG member, one fantastic benefit is a late checkout of 2:00. No one at this facility knew or would acknowledge that. The girl on the phone got snippy with me, told me I’d have pay $50/hour after 12:00 and while I was communicating how dissatisfied I was about my stay, she literally spoke over me, said “ok” and hung up while I was still talking. As a family that stays in Orlando frequently, I will absolutely never stay at this hotel ever again. I am considering whether I’ll ever stay at an IHG hotel ever again too, since when I spoke with corporate they were also less than helpful.

The Waterpark wasn’t open for most of our 4 day stay. Our light in the room would flicker on and off. Housekeeping didn’t retrieve our garbage or used towels at all during our stay even after contacting concierge about it. The freezer wasn’t freezing anything. The mini crib we ordered for the baby was rusty and very dirty. The food in the marketplace wasn’t good, we had to grub hub meals. I did like the pool and hot tub area and the activities for the kids. The rooms were spacious.

AC in Room 1012 does not cool. Head Board in Master Suite was dirty. Carpet in Suite Smelled like dirty socks. Not worth the price really.

Very convenient location and well serviced. I did not care for the fact that the “restaurant/eating area” didn’t open until 8:00 am! That was incomprehensible.

We booked the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando partly based on the listed price on ******* and partly because of the pictures of the water park. Upon check-in we were told that there is a $49 resort fee and a $27 parking fee - if this were known I likely would have selected a different hotel. The water park was not open during our stay. We were told the waterpark would be open the day we were checking out and we could use it that day after check-out, but check-out was at 10am and the waterpark opened at noon - we didn't stick around. There is a guard booth/gate to get onto the property. When we arrived, they asked for our name and instructed us to pull up to the check-in area. The check-in process took a very long time - there was a long line of people and only 2 clerks working at 4 pm. While I was inside checking-in, a guard asked my elderly father in the passenger seat to pull the car forward. This was very difficult for him as he has a hard time walking. After I completed check-in and had the room keys, there were several IHG sales people that approached me and kept mentioning some sort of check-in gift. They wanted too much information and I figured they were trying to sell time-shares, so I said no thank you and walked away. The room was very clean and we had no issues - everything was as expected for a decent hotel room. There was a lot of noise from the guests in the room next door just after midnight that woke me up, but not too big a deal. I would not stay here again.
