Special room with private onsen was so nice and spacious. Both dinner and breakfast were good quality and had a varitiea of choices.

I was very satisfied with the wide range of services and the fact that I was able to spend a fulfilling day here. I was able to use the private bath and the large communal bath without it being crowded.

The service was excellent. They carefully noted down what I couldn't eat for my allergies, and the dinner was customized! The hot springs are natural, and I soaked in them three times a day. My skin was smooth after running, and the hot spring powder I bought was also very useful.

The private bath is difficult to use.The large public bath and open-air bath are good. After all, I'm happy to serve ice cream and drinks after taking a bath. The food is average. Ah! I wonder if the drink bar pays for the time system!

About ten minutes' walk from Naruko Station, halfway up the mountain, it's very quiet and the hot springs are particularly good. A slight sulfur smell surrounds the surroundings, and it feels slippery after soaking. There are private and public hot springs. There are four private ones. First come first served without reservation. There are popsicles or lactic acid drinks available at the entrance of the hot spring, which is very good.

The room is huge! Comfortable! The view is great, the soup is great, and in addition to the public baths, there is also a Nokiri bath. Yakult in the morning, popsicle in the evening🥰 It’s just that your driving skills need to be good, as the uphill road is quite small.

The private bath is free, but I appreciate it.

Onsen was very good. The staff's response was good, but I had to wait at the check-in even though it was not so crowded. It is painful that it takes more than 20 minutes to enter the room The food was not so delicious. Do you cut and arrange the things you made in advance? Should I heat it up and put it out again? I'm sorry if I'm wrong. I could not feel the cooking feeling of the place.

Thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay with half board, it felt really pampering and luxurious and excellent value for money. My Japanese style room was enormous and very comfortable. Having the onsen baths just a few floors down meant that I could enjoy it in just a few moments from leaving my room. I particularly loved the outdoor pool set into the forested cliffside, especially when it is lit up at night. There are lots of little touches like the free popsicles outside the bath area, and the free refreshments in the lounge overlooking the garden. I tried two of the four private baths, easily gaining access as the hotel seemed fairly quiet when I was there. The breakfast buffet was enormous, mostly Japanese style but so much choice. Dining is in your own private cubicle within the dining hall. The half board multi-course dinner was complete luxury, every course was gorgeous and delicious (although the attendant had to explain to me how to eat a few of the dishes). There is a surprising amount of English: on many of the signs and information notices around the hotel, and various staff could speak at least some English. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. It's a fairly new hotel so everything seems in good condition and very clean. It's quite a steep hike up to the hotel but luckily the hotel shuttle will meet your train, or drop you off for departure at the train or at the highway bus to Sendai.

Naruko Onsen has the best spring quality. They are famous for their kokeshi dolls, so I recommend buying some as souvenirs. Naruko Onsen is so good that I keep coming back.

Overall, it's a very good inn. If I had to say one thing, it would be that the hot spring water in the large public bath and the private bath comes from the same source.

I wasn't able to finish the entire meal as I was a small eater, but the dinner was delicious. Breakfast was a buffet, but there were so many delicious-looking items on display that I ended up taking more than I could eat.
