Rooms are very outdated. Our room had broken soap and lotion and shampoo and body wash dispenser by the sink and in the tub. The tub had mold. The toilet had rust. It was very old room and could use a lot of work. Was able to get reservations to all the restaurants, not the best but it’s fine for the price. Don’t get seating outdoors unless you don’t mind waiting over an hour to be served. We had to walk out of the Italian restaurant because we weren’t even acknowledged by anyone for over 25 minutes of seating. Buffet has the same food for lunch and dinner daily. No changes at all. You get tired of eating the same food everyday multiple times a day. Activities were fun. The activities team is what kept everything together and going for us.

My friend and I stayed in a Junior King room for 5 days and everything in the room was great however we did get food poisoning from the buffet and making reservations for the a la carte restaurants is extremely difficult as the staff does not provide any insight upon checking in and you probably won’t get a reservation for at least 3 days in advance. The wifi isn’t great and when we needed assistance the front desk hung up on us without saying a word. When we called back to repeat our request they simply said they had heard us the first time. Overall this resort was average but definitely not 5 stars worthy.

I wanted to share feedback about my recent stay at Senator Resort to celebrate my birthday with my boyfriend. While we were initially impressed by the friendly staff upon arrival, our overall experience fell short of expectations. We had booked the Jr. Senator Suite through *******, the standard room at the resort, only to find it extremely dated with a persistent unpleasant smell and visibly worn linens. After requesting an upgrade, we were moved to a different room that better suited our needs. However, the promised amenities such as a stocked minibar were missing, and we had to repeatedly ask for water from the front desk due to tap water concerns. Furthermore, the in-room phone was dysfunctional throughout our stay, hindering our ability to access room service. The linens provided were stained, so we had to request a replacement. Additionally, the quality of food at the buffet left much to be desired, although we found some solace in the decent pizza offered at the pizzeria. We were disappointed to learn that reservations for the specialty restaurants were fully booked for the first two days of our stay. As first-time guests at an all-inclusive resort, we were unaware of the need to make reservations well in advance, a detail that we believe should have been communicated clearly prior to our arrival. While the resort itself has its charms, based on our experience, we regret to say that we do not envision staying at Senator Resort again in the future. Thank you

We enjoyed our one week vacation. Great dining facility, availability of many recreational facilities, quiet and safe environment, Wi-Fi internet availability and excellent staff service are a few things we liked the most in addition to many others. Nice place for vacation.

The rooms are dated with broken phone, ripped chair, shower curtain of dollar store quality, thermostat that you cannot set the temperature, paint on the bathroom bar, rust on the bar of the closed. Further, the beach was not cleaned with many empty plastic bottles, cigarettes butts, and the water was dirty. The staff and the food were perfect! In short, this resort is at best 3 stars and definitely not five stars.

Where do we start, food was terrible we were not able to get reservations for the a la carte. 15 visits to the front desk later (only because the buffet was inedible) we were able to get in to the stake house because there was a cancellation. While assuming we were being helped the girl tried to sign us up for a timeshare presentation, we told her we weren’t interested because it was my wife’s birthday, but it was a let down that we thought she was trying to help. The elevator wasn’t working and we had to move from 3rd floor to 2nd (no first floor available with ocean view), my wife had an injured foot so that definitely wasn’t great. The drinks were so bad and although all inclusive resorts make bad drinks this one was particularly awful, staff couldn’t make anything all they had was premixed pina colada and premixed red berry juice. I don’t think this is the staff s fault. I will honestly say the staff are what made it tolerable because most of them actually tried their best to be as accommodating as possible. We have gone to over 20 countries and stayed at plenty of hotels, this one is definitely not a 5 star hotel. The luxury suite was okay but besides that and the staff being kind, definitely not somewhere we would stay again.

Absolutely gorgeous architecture and design. It’s beautiful to walk the area and grounds and it’s very safe and clean. Although the staff are very helpful, there is no beach or pool service and finding a chair past 5am is impossible. That’s an easy problem to fix, but I’ve seen dozens of reviews and apparently the management isn’t interested in remedying this minor issue that dramatically impacts the quality of the experience. Also, the water in the rooms is cold only. On one day, I had lukewarm water in the shower and it felt like heaven.
