Lovely historic hotel with amazing views. As has been said in other reviews, it could do with refurbishment but that might change its quirkiness. Staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Food in the restaurant is good & portions are generous. Our room was spotless, towels changed every day etc. It’s very peaceful here too, the road (steep) ends at the hotel so no passing traffic. I’ve given 5 stars but our only ****** was that breakfast could be a bit hit & miss. That didn’t spoil it for us though.

We selected this hotel for a wedding reception following a previous visit but had not stayed there. Situated next to the Kaisers Throne, a local viewpoint the setting is spectacular with clear views all over the island. Myself, my wife and other members of the family stayed there for the wedding and afterwards, and we were delighted by the style, ambience and a**osphere of this beautiful Belle Epoque building. The hotel did a first class job of the wedding reception and the service to guests and the food was outstanding. I would recommend this hotel for a short or long stay, or any significant familv event. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I stayed 7 miserable days at this establishment and felt relieved when we left. The property is, without doubt, in a very enviable location with breathtakingly beautiful views from the dining terrace and from all of the rooms. The views and location are the main selling points for this hotel because the entire interior of the hotel is in desperate need of inves**ent and refurbishment. Some people would probably describe the hotel as ‘quirky’ or ‘full of old world Greek charm’ with basic rooms, but our room 204 was very tired, run down, dusty and grubby with minimal very old furniture and a grossly uncomfortable bed. The bed linen had a strange abrasive feel to it The bathroom water was only luke warm most of the time. Only one electric point in the bedroom with an adapter. The shaver point in the bathroom was particularly dangerous, it was adjacent to the sink but was protruding from the wall. Please don’t get me wrong, we are used to Greek basic accommodation and have spent many a happy holiday in such places. There is a difference between good basic accommodation and very bad basic accommodation; this hotel should be described as the latter. We never used the swimming pool so we cannot comment, but we used the restaurant for one lunch and one dinner during our stay and found that, apart from the Greek salad, nothing was freshly prepared and was very average. The dolmades we ordered were definitely out of a commercial multipack. Breakfast could be described as chaotic. The surly ‘Greek gentleman’ on the front desk was the general manager and was there all the hours available and spent most of this time staring at his computer and didn’t have much time for anything else. Very unwelcoming, he never smiled and everything seemed a lot of bother and an interruption to his day. The only time he smiled and acted as if he was interested was when we checked out wanted payment. I would have happily paid more than double the nightly rate to get something that was something half decent. I’ll come back when the rooms are renovated and the hotel has a new management team. Please avoid this hotel for your holiday accommodation. If you want to see the spectacular views go there for just coffee or lunch. You won’t be disappointed.

We stayed fir 3 nights and were a in a little trepidation beforehand due to one or two reviews. We need not have been concerned. We arrived for check in and shown to a room with two bedrooms! Bonus to start with. The rooms had an amazing view. Bedrooms were basic but clean. The bathroom could have done with an update but was large and had a bath as well as the shower. (The water is very hard and I needed a great deal of moisturiser after to prevent me from being white!) The pool area is lovely and the terraces very pleasant. A few more sunbeds would be good. Food is good. Breakfast had something for everyone, fried eggs, bacon and then a variety of cheeses and ham with tomatoes and cucumber etc. Plenty of coffee and juice as well as yoghurt and fruit. Lovely to eat whilst sitting on the terrace. Staff were fantastic. Alex is a delight and the lovely woman serving too was constantly cheerful and friendly even though they were working long hours in the heatwave ! Even our cleaner was lovely and cheerful. My only tiny little negative, the lovely gentleman who showed us to our room could perhaps pay a little more attention to personal hygiene.) All in all its a lovely place to stay. Like a film set from the 1920s or 30s.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. Staff is unbelievably friendly, the sunset is breathtaking, very nice pool. Located on top of a mountain, it’s a short walk to the small village. Just what you need for a week of rest and relaxation. The rooms could do with some refurbishment, but the view over the sea quickly makes you forget this! Thank you Kiki and the rest of the staff for an amazing stay!

Went back to the hotel for a meal with my family after enjoying a nice coffee the other day, only to be affronted by the very rude arrogant hotel receptionist who briskly turned down my innocent enquiry as to whether the establishment had any business cards. It was quite honestly the most jarring and terrible example of customer service I have ever come across; his example alone has certainly put me off from ever visiting the hotel and will undoubtedly be the case for anyone else who comes across this cretin.

We booked 14 nights in this hotel and extended staying 4 nights more. Our arrangement included breakfast only. Hotel is very near of several famous Corfu beaches. Free public parking, in front of Levant, is very spacious so whenever we returned back - existed free place for our car. The hotel staff are very professional and discreet - for every request Mr. Spiros and Mr. Dimitros are ready to help.
