Vignette Collection HAIKOU YATTER HOTEL by IHG

The mattress has a soft and a firm side, which was perfect for my back problems! The water pressure in the bathroom shower was excellent – super good! The personalized service was exceptional; Sherry, the Assistant Manager in the lobby, deserves special praise. She noticed I hadn't come to the restaurant for breakfast one day and proactively messaged me to ask if I needed breakfast delivered to my room. It truly made me feel at home! The buffet restaurant's service was just okay, and the food quality could be improved.

Atour Hotel Haikou Wanguo Metropolitan Qilou Old Street

I had a pleasant stay at Atour Hotel Haikou Wanguo Metropolitan Qilou Old Street. Prior to arrival, I requested an early check-in as well as a high-floor room away from the lifts if possible, and the hotel accommodated both requests perfectly. The room was located on a high floor and offered a fantastic 270-degree panoramic view, which was undoubtedly the highlight of my stay. The front desk team was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout. Special thanks to Front Desk Manager 万新, team member 幸怡, and the rest of the team, who went above and beyond in assisting with the collection of multiple parcels before my arrival. Their proactive assistance and warm hospitality were greatly appreciated. Communication was also very convenient, as the front desk was highly responsive via WeChat and quick to assist whenever needed. Some feedback during the stay: The room itself had a somewhat unconventional layout, likely due to the building's structure and the corner positioning required to achieve the panoramic view - totally understandable and appreciate the Front Desk for explaining it to me upon my arrival. From previous reviews, I had expected the room to feature smart controls (possibly Xiaodu, heated/automated toilet bowl as seen on other reviews), but I was not briefed on any smart room functions during check-in and could not seem to activate them myself. This was not a major issue, but a brief introduction during check-in or a simple user guide in the room would have been helpful. The panoramic view was absolutely stunning, especially during the day and around sunset. One thing to note, however, is that the floor-to-ceiling windows allow a significant amount of sunlight into the room. On particularly sunny days, the room could feel quite warm even with the air-conditioning running at full blast. Blackout curtains are provided, of course, but drawing them somewhat defeats the purpose of enjoying such a spectacular view. Breakfast was decent, offering a reasonable variety of options, although nothing particularly stood out. It was perfectly adequate for starting the day, but not one of the hotel's main highlights. One small observation regarding housekeeping: on my third morning, while I was heading out for breakfast, a housekeeper casually asked me in the corridor whether I was ”still staying today.” I understood that she was likely trying to confirm whether the room required servicing or whether I would be checking out, but the phrasing felt a little awkward. A more guest-friendly way of asking might create a better impression. A couple of other points worth noting: sound insulation around the room doors could be improved, as neighbouring room doors closing could be quite noticeable. In addition, the room door requires a firm push to shut completely; otherwise, an alarm will sound. There were also some mosquitoes around the hotel premises, although the room was thoughtfully equipped with an electronic mosquito repellent. The hotel's location is reasonably convenient, but it is worth noting that it is not quite as close to Qilou Old Street and some of the nearby attractions as I had initially expected. While the area is technically walkable, Haikou's heat and humidity can make the walk feel much longer and less pleasant, especially during the day. In practice, I often found myself opting for Didi (online-hailing app)instead. Not a major drawback, but something to keep in mind if you plan to explore the area primarily on foot Overall, the excellent service, responsive staff, and spectacular panoramic view made for a very enjoyable stay. Despite a few minor quirks, I would happily stay here again on a future visit to Haikou.

The hotel's exterior is modern and grand, with a striking entrance that immediately makes a great first impression. The guest rooms are spacious and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding and gentle lighting, ensuring an excellent night's sleep. The lobby is expansive, featuring marble floors and exquisite chandeliers, creating a luxurious yet cozy atmosphere. Breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, with delicious hot soups and plump shrimp—every bite is satisfying. The open kitchen prepares dishes on the spot with fresh ingredients, and the staff are professional and attentive. The coffee area is well-equipped, offering panoramic city views from the window, perfect for a delightful morning ritual. Overall, the stay exceeded expectations, with quality evident in every detail. Highly recommended!

**Raving Review of MOS Hotel Haikou** From the moment I set foot in MOS Hotel Haikou, I knew I was in for a unique experience. The atmosphere is simply enchanting, with a sense of tranquility that envelops you right from the lobby. The clever architectural design showcases bespoke touches that only a true connoisseur of hospitality would appreciate. I found myself drawn to the Garden Restaurant, where I could unwind with a cup of coffee amidst lush greenery, soaking in the inspiration of my surroundings. The hotel is situated on Hainan, the southernmost tropical island in China, offering a delightful fusion of nature and culture. The fragrant air carries hints of the island’s unique aroma, creating a refreshing ambiance that enhances your stay. The Garden Restaurant is a culinary highlight, serving exquisite Chinese dishes that tantalize the taste buds, complemented by a delightful morning breakfast that fuels your adventures. They attended to my VIP requests with remarkable care and attention to detail, ensuring that my needs were met with utmost precision. The hotel manager went above and beyond with personalized off-property recommendations, guiding me to the best local gems—from a vibrant jazz bar to a charming walking street and an exquisite French restaurant. Every recommendation was a real treat, showcasing true VVIP bespoke butler-style service that made my trip even more special. I have traveled extensively across Asia, and I can confidently say that MOS Hotel Haikou holds a unique charm that is hard to find elsewhere. Let me just say upfront, I'm not a shill, but out of all the hotels I've stayed at, Mission Hills Haikou's service definitely ranks among the top. Every single staff member has an exceptionally great attitude; almost everyone proactively greets you. The lobby staff were particularly excellent – they arranged breakfast and kids' club access for my child and even upgraded our room. Both the hotel's soft and hard amenities are top-notch, and the breakfast is incredibly rich and definitely deserves praise. I'll definitely stay at Mission Hills Haikou again next time I'm in Haikou.

This hotel experience was fantastic! The room was spacious and bright, with brand-new, smart facilities. The bedding was incredibly comfortable; I slept like a baby. The staff were warm and attentive, and the breakfast was rich and delicious. The pool was the cherry on top, and there's also a large dog-walking garden that's absolutely stunning at sunset.

This is a four-star hotel, and admittedly, some of the facilities are a bit old. When I arrived in Haikou, it had just rained, and there was a musty smell in the room and corridors, which was a bit off-putting. However, everything else was quite good. What stood out was that the shower water was natural hot spring water, and you could even enjoy the hot springs from 2 PM to 10 PM daily. For a room rate of just over 100 RMB, it's truly excellent value for money. Plus, the hotel is located right in the old town, full of local charm and a lively atmosphere. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Haikou.

The hotel is surrounded by tons of restaurants, so you'll have endless dining options. All the in-room appliances work perfectly. Plus, there's an incredibly delicious coconut chicken restaurant right behind the hotel, less than 100 meters away – a must-try if you stay here! The room facilities and housekeeping are top-notch. The cleaning is meticulous, and everything is tidied up neatly. The staff are very polite. The buffet breakfast on the 33rd floor is abundant, delicious, and offers a wide variety of choices. The Guest Relations assistant even added me on WeChat during my stay, which was super convenient as they were always responsive to my requests. Overall, the hotel environment is quiet and upscale. This is definitely my go-to hotel when traveling.

Absolutely perfect! I initially thought it was an old hotel, but it completely won me over with its service and consistent quality. First off, there's the Kids' Creativity Park, offering all sorts of fun activities and photo ops for children. Secondly, I just found out it's part of the Marriott family of hotels. The staff were incredibly patient; I can't remember the name of the front desk attendant who helped us, but they kept my ID safe after I lost it, bringing me the joy of finding something I thought was gone forever. The Wi-Fi signal in our room was poor, but the 'little butler' (concierge) and front desk staff patiently came to our room multiple times to help us troubleshoot. The hotel is also very close to the beach, and you can even spot squirrels on the walk there. The kids had an absolute blast, especially with the sand bikes! It's truly the perfect hotel for families. I recommended it to friends the very next day, and they also stayed there for two nights the following Tuesday, reporting a truly excellent experience. Another plus is that there are lots of foreign children here, and everyone seems so happy and relaxed! Plus, they're very delivery-friendly; you can order anything you want, which is a huge bonus. It was a fantastic experience, and I might even come back for a second stay!
