We stayed at the Renaissance next door so can't comment on the accommodation. What I would like to review is the food and drinks. Initially we found the staff a little surly , but a few smiles and compliments about the food seemed to make a difference. We found the food to be very good. We tried most of the dishes including their club sandwich , which I found to be one of the best club sandwiches I've tasted! The Thai dishes were outstanding, the Tom Yum soup was the best I've ever had. The chicken with cashews, shrimp dishes, pineapple fried rice and pad Thai were very tasty, all at very reasonable prices. The watermelon drinks, coconut juice were col and delicious, as were all the cocktails which were half the price of our hotels. Then there's the location with stunning views of the sunsets. By the end of our holiday the staff were friendly and pleased to serve us.
