Wonderful service and location. Food at The Terrance was of poor quality and cold. It is a shame because this seems to be a common thread. We participated in Italian night and unfortunately unless a change is made we will not be back. Again, the staff (waiters bartender etc.) Were fantastic.

What a charming hotel (or Inn) if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay in Antigua. From the moment we arrived, until the second we left, we were surrounded by genuine and generous Antiguan hospitality. We didn’t meet anyone who wasn’t happy to have a chat….cricket, football, rose wine, best bars, birdies and eagles…..and being a Mum on Mothers Day ❤️ The bay is stunning although the sand is shingly in places so entering the sea can be tricky, pack suitable footwear, but once safely in the sea is warm and calm. For those who like some activity, we loved the hiking trails up to Shirley Heights (we usually went around 6.30am ! before it became too hot, about 30- 40 mins up through the woods and 20-30 mins down by road). My husband took a kayak out most days, around the bay to Nelson’s Dockyard, mainly I think to admire the multi million pound yachts and to search for turtles (successfully on several occasions) Oh for the record, if you need a state of the art gym on your holiday, The Inn is definitely not the place for you, nor is it, if you like loud and late evening entertainment. The vibe here is definitely a quiet evening meal, some gentle background music coupled with a fabulous view and an early night. The clientele is mainly British and retired but not exclusively. Come here if you want or need to slow down. Pre-arrival communication was excellent and on arrival we were provided with a friendly, short orientation and then given a choice of rooms, such a nice gesture and it was so very difficult to choose between them. Anyway, we did and it was discretely serviced to an extremely high standard twice a day. Our only ****** would be the poor water pressure, but hey we managed (just) We enjoyed all our meals, particularly the wider choice at lunchtime. All the ice cream is homemade and ridiculously good. The coconut shrimp is outstanding. Service in both restaurants was professional, knowledgeable whilst being fun and friendly. Now if there was only one mosquito in the whole of Antigua it would seek me out. We didn’t see/ hear many but I was grateful for the air conditioning, ceiling fans and mosquito net around the bed at night. One of the English breakfast teabags, dropped in some hot water, and then popped on the nasty bites I did get worked a treat to reduce swelling (for the record I’m no medical practitioner)! We stayed for 5 nights, just about perfect for us. We arrived a bit frazzled and tired and have left much happier humans. Thank you to everyone we interacted with, you were lovely, and also those we didn’t as behind the scenes we know many more will have contributed to our stay.

After a long cold winter on Cape Cod, we were very ready for some sunshine and relaxation in the Caribbean. The Inn at English Harbour is expensive but also provides delicious breakfast and dinner each day of the stay. The dining room and public rooms are on a height above the beach-level rooms, so the hotel provides a shuttle service to take guests to and from their rooms to the top of the hill. Dinner on the veranda offers spectacular views to the west as the sun sets over the ocean, and the mountains of the island of Monserrat are visible on the horizon. Luxury yachts anchor in the harbor below, and historic Nelson's Dockyard is only a few minutes away by hotel-provided launch from the beach. Good breakfast buffet on the beach every morning with super-pleasant staff. Totally worth the expense -- we'd go again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at The Inn for 10 nights (with several other couples) whilst competing in Antigua Race week and had a very good experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful. In particular Mirium, Stacey, Wesley, and Vere the boa**an. The location is also magical and we stayed in one of the Beach Cabanas - where we woke up each morning to the gentle sound of the waves - just metres from the sea. All in all, the hotel is difficult to fault, and I really appreciated the heritage of the property, but there are a few areas where I think it needs to modernise: - Our bathroom was very basic and badly needed updating. Not even 4* let alone 5. - Our room lacked a desk to work at and a USB port. Pretty essential in this day and age. - The gift of a water bottle on arrival is a nice touch but they should also provide drinking water in the rooms free of charge and deliver ice daily. For me, The Calabash in Grenada is the best hotel in the Caribbean and The Inn gets remarkably close. In fact it is almost perfect.

Fabulous location and a delightful small hotel with great decor and fantastic staff. We stayed in a beach cabana which we loved being straight onto the beach. It was great to site on our patio especially at night. We will be back.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Inn. The Staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and stylish . The beach and the view from the beach is spectacular. There is a free water shuttle into Nelson’s dockyard , where you can get into Falmouth and taxis are always available to go to local restaurants. One cannot wish for a nicer hotel in Antigua. Highly recommended.

Finally, the perfect adult retreat! This resort offered us everything we were looking for in an adult getaway. Staff and amenities were 5 star. The rooms are large and very comfortable, the resort offers water toys for daily use at no additional charge. The quiet bay directly in front of the Inn is so clean and accessible. My husband swam in the ocean every day. Staff bend over backwards to offer anything you could possible need/want, the food in the both restaurants superb. I am a vegetarian, and they were more than happy to accommodate me. The highlight was the daily tea offered at the beach restaurant; freshly made pastries daily and wonderful selection of teas. We are making plans to return next spring. With regard to driving, it's a challenge if you are unfamiliar with driving on the left side of the roadway, and street signage is non-existent. Next time we will not rent a car, and simply use taxis for the few excursions we plan. We participated in one excursion; Springhill Riding Club. It was amazing and Kent was such a wonderful guide. No riding experience required. Truly a bucket list adventure.

I stayed for just over two weeks in the Hillside Suite, A magnificent view to wake up to every morning. The team in all areas are friendly and welcoming, always looking for way to assist and help when ever you need them. Breakfast at the Reef Restaurant on the beach was always a great way to start the day. Check in on the Executive chef and he was always be willing to prepare you the most amazing meals. Close by there are some wonder walks along the coastline to the Infamous Shirley Heights or the Mermaid Pools Captain Vere is always available for a quick boat ride to Nelson Dockyard - A Must see and Whilst the culinary delights are awesome at the Resort, being close to English Harbour gives more options as well. The resort is set in the most serene cove, protected naturally and always calm (well when I was there) and just genuinely peaceful. A Must see and i will be back in a heart beat - Thank you to the Team at the Resort

We are actually here at the moment. My wife and I along with our two sons aged 17 and 25. It has been a fabulous experience to date. Wonderful, helpful and humorous staff. Superb food (at both the Reef and Terrace). A friendly and "present" manager and head chef. Two fantastic rooms. And then you have the location, on beautiful laid-back Galleon Bay, with the ability to easily pop into English Harbour for a change of scenery. It has ticked so many boxes for us and we're seasoned travellers, so much so that even after this first visit The Inn has jumped straight into our shortlist of "best ever". What a change from the "usual suspects" and what a find. But please, don't come.
