We had a great stay at ACE Adventure Resort! We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin for 4 nights. We hiked on our own in the National Park and then rafted and climbed/rappelled with ACE Adventure. Our excursions were awesome!! The entire rafting team made the experience great! Marcus was very fun and had tons of rafting knowledge as our group leader. We were so happy to have Chris Davis as our rafting guide. He put us in the best spots on the rapids and it was a great day! We are already planning a trip back in the fall to raft the gualley and requesting him! The bus driver Vickie was also a jokester - all around a great day! Climbing and Rappelling were also very fun! The weather was less than ideal but Sean made sure we had a great experience. We were brand new to both activities and did the half day adventure. He helped us during our climb and all 4 of us made is much higher than we anticipated! Rappelling was also very fun - minus the hike back up to the base, be prepared for that one!!! Not that we called maintenance a lot, but the couple of minor issues we had, Thomas was super quick to respond. He was friendly and took care of everything for us!

We did the white water rafting with Marcus and it was great!! He was excellent, knowledgeable and we had the best time! We had great customer service we got from the store employees and vicky the lady that drives the bus to and from the river, also the guy that pick up the rafts, they were all sweet!

We had the Best time at Ace Adventures. The cozy cabin and hot tub were clean and delightful. We rafted the lower New River with our guide, Zack. He gave us the most memorable time. So many fun and exhilarating moments! The Paddle restaurant was 10/10. Thanks Zack and Ace adventures! We will be back for the Gauley!

Jason with dreads and a nose ring was the most amazing river guide! we felt safe and laughed the entire time, and he even rated us a 7/10!😄 Our group had a pretty rough spot in a rapids, but Jason kept us all in the raft. He did an excellent job of explaining everything we needed to know about which section if the river we were coming to, so we always knew what to do worst case scenario.

Chose to stay here due to proximity to New River Gorge NP. Though I can empathize with it being offseason, customer service and attention to detail counts. After checking in, arrived to our cottage. Paying over $250 for a night, my expectation is to simply have a clean accommodation. Several bugs including two "beetle type" (possibly roach?) which immediately put us on edge - the first found in the loft and the second greeted me in the bathroom early the next morning. Dusty - I could write my name on the bedside stand. I dropped something in front of couch and in picking up the item was disgusted at looking under the couch. Bed and pillows need replaced - very uncomfortable. Electric baseboard heating made loud sounds each time it would come on. We turned it off at 2:45am and decided to be cold over continually being woke up by the sound.

Really fun whitewater trip. We did the half day lower river. Marissa was fun, professional and a great raft leader. The New River Gorge is stunning! Wild and wonderful West Virginia lives up to its name. Bring good water shoes. Lots of walking on gravel.

Had a great time on the aerial course and at the water park. Levi, Ross and the other guide were great. They really took their time to make sure that everyone had a great experience. A half day at fr water park is plenty of time for us. I highly recommend the aerial course.

We did not stay overnight at ACE but we stayed locally at a VRBO rental and came to ACE for the 1/2 day lower new river rafting adventure. Jordan Smith was our guide and she was amazing! We had rapids ranging from class 1-5. The next day we went back for a full day climbing and rappelling outing (off resort). Our guide was Laurel, who was also amazing! We had great adventure, wonderful guides, saw lots of natural beauty & can’t wait to go back!

We didn't stay at the resort, had I known they had cabins too would have looked into those. We went zip lining and had a great time! Our guides were Lindsay, Liz and Keto (pardon any misspellings) and they were great! Very attentive and made sure everyone stayed safe. There were a total of 9 zip lines and 2 bridges. The bridges were scarier than the zip lines! A couple of the zip lines if you looked to the right you had a great view into the gorge. It was me and my 18 year old Granddaughter. We usually go horseback riding when we visit National Parks but when I saw zip lining thought it would be something different. She had the best time she said. The last zip line is short and if you want you can do tricks like hang upside down. A lot of people in our group tried it, me I am 64 so nope! We were surprised, I was expecting a bunch of teens but our group was mostly older folks. On the way back on the bus we did a group sing of John Denver Country Roads lol. Then once we got in the car of course we had to listen to it again on Spotify. Definitely recommend. we want to come back in the summer and do some of the other activities!
