Generally speaking, a decent hotel...Room is comfy, close to all the fun stuff in the historic neighborhood of Porto Alegre.....The surrounding neighborhood has some pretty sketchy parts, but the street folk aren't too annoying... I've seen far worse parts in other big cities in Brazil. This is pretty tame by comparison....Out time in PA is very brief. When we come back in the future, we'll definitely consider this place again.

Excellent location, very attentive staff. There is no elevator. Pillows need improving and showers need changing too. But overall it was a good stay.

Very good hotel.. location is very good, this is the strong point... One negative point is that there is no space for you to park your car. I thought it was strange not to have...everything there is in the blue zone. Parking for 25 reais and separate, in front. But if you need to leave then you won't come back and you will have to pay again. It is ideal for those without a car. The location is an excellent market, pharmacy bar, Mario Quintana cultural center with cinema and theater, all within a block of the city. There is also the Santander cultural center (Farol Santander) nearby. I didn't find the shops around it dangerous, as it is close to a military zone. The bed was very soft and we changed rooms as soon as we arrived, the reception staff were kind... care and attention in this regard as your stay could be compromised... the bathroom is good and new. Breakfast is repetitive but serves the purpose, it has everything but is basic....after the 2nd day you already know everything there is. The rooms are adequate, the only thing missing was a bedside table, there was only one on my wife's side. I recommend it, I've been twice and I intend to return, excellent value for money.
