The videos and photos you provide do not present what really is happening at the place. Under the banner of “4-star boutique” you have no idea of what “service” and “hospitality” means and your staff (although kind and friendly) is not properly trained to act professionally in accordance with that. I booked for my two daughters to spend a relaxed evening before the on’s wedding. If I paid R500, this is what I would have expected. Just a few things: - There were towels hanging all over the chairs when we arrived. - There is an old tent on the patio with pouffes and stuff lying on the hangmat. - When they asked for something to drink, the guy started to run around looking for something. He came back stating that they had that “brown thing”. He brought them Old Brown sherry. - You can at least ask if somebody would like sweet or dry sparkling wine. There was non-alcoholic on the table. And when they asked, they brought sweet sparkling wine. You cannot assume everybody drinks it sweet. And no alternative for a restaurant?! - The snacks were wrapped in clingwrap, with sauces presented to look more like a collection in a fast-food restaurant. - The massage was good, but no sense of professionality. The lady dragged her up immediately after finishing with the massage and started putting on her shoes. No sense of serenity and the need for people to relax and lie down for a while. She then said something about the tip jar, said she had to catch a taxi and they have to switch off the light when leaving. She was also dressed in normal clothes - sneakers and a normal wool jersey. No professional conduct. - There was normal cheddar cheese in the salad - typical of a 4-star establishment that also boasts with a restaurant? - The room was cold with nothing to warm them (gas heater / hot blanket?). - The electricity went off while they were there. Everybody in South Africa knows about load shedding. There was no alternative light (e.g with batteries). They had to use their cellphone lights to move around in the room. - The room is in general small and dark with limited sense of styling. There was nobody else in the hotel. I am sure you have better rooms than that (if not, that is a disgrace) and I don’t understand why you didn’t give that to them. - If this was supposed to be a true “romantic” experience as you promote it to be, it would have been a comlete and utter failure. - Etc. Etc.
