Marina Bayview Gran Canaria - Adults Only

I stayed here for 6 nights in August before being moved to their sister hotel Marina Suites due to an issue with my room. To begin with, everything about the hotel including the rooms, restaurant, reception, and all other communal areas were spotless and kept clean however one negative was that rooms were not cleaned every day, only 5 days a week (no cleaning on Thursdays and Sundays). Marina Bayview hosts a range of facilities meaning you have everything you need from sun beds & a lovely pool as well as a jacuzzi, gym, restaurant & bar, courtesy room, and an onsite shop (located in reception) allowing you to purchase beverages and snacks. The location is one of the many highlights of Marina Bayview, offering lovely views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Puerto Rico harbour. The hotel is also in close proximity to local restaurants and shops including a Hiper-Dino Express and restaurants but there is a little bit of a treck with the stairs you have to take up and down but after a while you do get used to it. For me it wasn’t a problem however if you have mobility issues or are elderly than do take note. With that said, taxis are available to cheaply get up and down for elderly people and for those with mobility problems and I’m sure that reception would have no problem calling one for you. Speaking of reception, Jorge & Nacho made me feel welcome, were very friendly and professional especially when dealing with the issue with our room promptly and quickly gave us options for a solution, the problem was quickly solved with ease. Considering the other staff at the hotel, they were also very friendly especially the ladies working at breakfast. At the restaurant, breakfast and lunch are offered every day, however there is no dinner available in the evening onsite at night apart from Fridays where they have their very own BBQ night. Throughout the day, there is a full bar available including sodas, wines, smoothies, and cocktails. All the food at breakfast, lunch, and on BBQ night was fresh, tasty and delicious with a large variety to choose from. The ratio of portion size to quality to price was very good. I do highly recommend both the BBQ night which has live music and breakfast which even offers complimentary cava to make your own mimosas! The breakfast set us up for the day with so much on offer including made to order omelettes, eggs, breakfast meats such as bacon and sausages, beans, a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, series and continental breakfast items (cold cheeses and meats). The chefs here are very talented and certainly know how to cook great tasting food! The bbq night and lunch offered during the day is very good value for money, and considering what you pay to stay in this hotel, you get quality accommodation with lovely views. The rooms were modern and stylish, with powerful air conditioning, a kitchenette, microwave and mini fridge, 2 TV’s, balcony with seats. We have stayed at the Marina Bayview twice now, once in May 2024 and Oct 2024. The hotel is lovely and clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The pool side food is the best I’ve had at any hotels I’ve stayed in. The views from your balcony looking over the Marina are amazing I would recommend the Marina Bayview and I have already booked up for next year.

The staff were amazing we asked to upgrade our room which they did the next day. The view is beautiful. We would definitely come back. They do paella on a Tuesday round the pool area which was lovely worth a try. It’s about 20 minutes walk to the centre it’s a nice walk.

This was my third time at this beautiful hotel - second time with the same group of friends for a girls week in the sun. An adult-only resort set on the hills overlooking the marina, it really is a perfect spot for great views, fab weather, and total relaxation. The apartments are great - everything you need for a week's vacation, and very comfortable too. No sunbed wars - always enough for us to find a spot together. The onsite gym is perfect, too - went there every morning before breakfast ... the view is spectacular, a fab way to start the day. The hotel is spotless. The staff are wonderful - and special mention to Jose, who really goes above and beyond to make your stay as perfect as possible. A lovely guy, always smiling and always more than happy to help. Can't wait to go back again!

From the moment we arrived we loved this hotel, the chilled vibe, decor, facilities and staff were amazing. Beautiful views of the harbour, lovely pool with plenty of sun beds and areas for people to chill. The jacuzzi, Balinese beds and Sauna were fantastic addition. Had a great night at the BBQ night, myself and partner love to dance salsa and were able to with the live singer, food was delicious and really great value. My only one slight feedback would be that the breakfast was cold in the morning but the fresh omelettes made up for it. Thank you team Marina, especially Petra for your warm welcome, hospitality and great service we will definitely be back.

What can I say but just wow!!!! This was our 4th stay at this little gem of a hotel, but this time we upgraded to the Villa as this was a 60th birthday treat for my husband from my daughter & I. It certainly lived up to every expectation & more, it made our holiday extra special. Breakfast & cocktails 1st class and please do hesitate to book the BBQ evening on a Friday night, it’s so worth the 20 euros. The newly opened restaurant Sidonia behind Marina Bayview is outstanding, food is amazing & a beautiful place to watch the sunset so give it a try as you won’t be disappointed. Special shout out to Barbara for suggesting the Villa upgrade and making our holiday one of the best ever, also Jose and all the team who go above & beyond. We can wait to return to this beautiful hotel soon…

5out of 5 brilliant place to stay love the views staff are amazing we were here 5 yrs ago and things have changed a little when you go to the bar now it’s card only or you put it on your room as before you could pay by cash ( I prefer to pay by cash but that’s me) the rooms are nice they are clean and tidy the pool is amazing and you can choose your sunbed as many do not come out until 11ish would highly recommend Marina Bayview

Very Good Hotel - as normal will do the pros and cons Cons stop me giving 5 stars Pros -Very Clean. -Decent Rooms. -Good Location (for PR very few steps (100s not 500s) compared to others). -No issues getting sun beds. -No bugs in room. -Friendly Staff. -Chilled out pool area. -Very good Air Con - Good Wi-Fi - Great views Cons -Pool area is run down - loads of chipped off paint inside the pool and surroundings. -Facilities in room not 4 star - 2 x TV but strangely not connected to internet (that's a must in 2024) , poor storage space , no locks on toilet door , bed broken , shower broken (quickly fixed to be fair) just generally felt like its ready for a refurbishment. -Sun beds are grey in colour so get incredibly hot to the point if your towel is slightly not covering it , it will burn you. - Safe is pay to use , again not acceptable in a 4 star , its always been free in others we have stayed in, as its a basic security need for guests. Overall an enjoyable stay and we would look to return and we very much enjoyed it. I do however, think the whole complex is getting ready for a refurbishment , especially the pool , the chipped off paint needs addressing.

The hotel was amazing, very clean and beautiful views, the pool was fantastic!!! The staff were soooooo friendly and helpful and the apartment was more than we could of imagined! Absolutely loved the fact it wasn't some crazy stag/hen do hotel and was perfect for a couple to relax and met nice people! We stayed for 10 nights and our balcony overlooked the pool, so we had a supperb view both day and night! The only small suggestions I would make are 1, maybe have a retractable shade cover on balconies as sometimes they were too hot to sit out on! 2, include the safe charge in the holiday price. 2 very small things I know and these didn't ruin any of our experience, they would of just made it that little more perfect!
