I really enjoyed my time here. I was worried that the room would be small but it was quite spacious! I would definitely stay here again.

This place is a rip off. The noise until 4am from the nightclubs next door and the hard beds make it impossible to get a good nights sleep. I checked in and stayed in this hotel one night in January 2025. I was charged at check in on my credit card for 6 nights, in the amount of $443 US, 8995 pesos. I was also charged $72 US prior to check-in for one night's deposit. I found the accommodations inadequate because of the noise from the nightclubs nearby into the early morning hours. The noise and the hard bed made it difficult to sleep. Therefore, I checked out the next day. When I checked out, it was understood by me that I would get a refund for the nights I didn't stay. I have received no refund on my credit card to date, even though I have contacted the hotel requesting one.

This is a great location for folks who want to dive into the nightlife of Puerto Vallarta - however - the party in the street and next door was loud and went on until the late hours of the morning...

THIS HOTEL DESERVES A 0. Do not stay here!! La Iguana Hotel has completely ruined my last couple days of my holiday. I was with a group at a nearby villa that had a check out of 12noon. All of the information published online states that check in is at 3pm however guests are welcome to leave their luggage. I made plans to do this however upon my 12:15 arrival, the hotel is completely locked up/borderline looking abandoned. 1pm rolls around, still nobody. I walked around the area for 2 more hours in the blazing heat. At 2:30pm, a maintenance worker said I could leave my stuff in the lobby and told me to come back at 3pm in which I did just that. At 3pm, still nobody there!!! This is without a doubt the angriest I’ve ever been in my life. What kind of hotel doesn’t have 24 hour reception? This is why I book a hotel and not an airbnb. 3:20pm and still no sign of life at the iguana hotel. It’s come to a point I don’t want to stay here and if they let me cancel my reso I would rather take my business elsewhere. I’d have a better experience staying in a bus shelter at this point. This property shouldn’t be on any of the third party booking sites and management needs to take a good long long look at their business because quite frankly, I feel robbed.
