Perhentian Marriott Resort & Spa Reviews

The resort hotel was very good in cleanliness. No doubtful at all. Hiwever, the service was very slow. I need to wait almost 2 hours to my luggage send to my room. I already follow up by call asking my luggage more than 3 times. Similar to call for buggy service. The location is quite far from the main attractive point at perhentian. If you want to get and use the facilities, the resort was the best choice.

We had a great time. It is our 2nd wedding anniversary & we have booked a 3 days 2 nights trip to Marriott Pulau Perhentian. The transfer of the ferry is smooth, although we wish they could have more rounds transfer but overall it’s good enough. The restaurant tried their best to accommodate us, also special thanks to Alia from Dapur arranged for us to take away our lunch, they packed it nicely into lunch boxes for us cause we are catching our 12pm ferry after check out. The beaches are nice and not crowded, clean. Rooms are comfortable and service is swift. We will definitely be back again. Thank u guys. Also special thanks for Fairfield by Marriott restaurant staffs. Their service is amazing too.

Good service attitude but lack of experience , order two times for a medium steak in the Dapur, get one medium and one well-done🤣🤣

The hotels location and facilities are beautiful. There are 3 large swimming pools and a beach and as a result it means there is plenty of room at each location. The food in the 2 restaurants is nice and all the staff are really friendly. Though the price is a little expensive, so would recommend trying a nearby local restaurant (rosemary restaurant is accessible from the Marriott, cheap and has delicious food). The only downside to the stay was the few times we called room service for extra water and towels although promised they would bring the items they never got delivered.

Brand new hotel, two very big swimming pools, however you entirely depend on hotel food because hotel kind of isolated you need boat taxi to go any place else and it costs 150 rm one way per person. If you just stay in the hotel and enjoy amenities of the premise then top choice.

I read some reviews saying the service was not good. I was a little worried at first. After I went there, I found that the service was very good and the response was very timely. After arriving at the pier, it was easy to get on the island. The luggage was picked up and the electric car was taken to the room. It was a full vacation feeling. There were mountains and sea. The hotel designer knew how to enjoy it. The hotel was located on the mountain, with a very good view and not too much interference from the sound of the waves. Especially in the restaurant breakfast and dinner, watching the sea and the distant clouds was very relaxing and healing. The whole hotel was in the rainforest. It is difficult to take pictures. Only in it can you feel the relaxing energy close to nature. The hotel has two beaches. Going down the stairs, you can see the Jelly Sea for snorkeling, which is especially suitable for family trips. The children didn't want to leave at all. Special thanks to Manager ell, who responded to our needs. Many staff members of the hotel often asked Is Everything ok? They paid great attention to your experience. The food in the restaurant was good and online. A small suggestion was to add more Chinese food, such as egg fried rice. Chinese stomachs especially miss Chinese food. I will definitely go to the hotel again next time. It is a perfect vacation.

The environment on the island is great, the rooms are great too. We booked a set meal with 3 meals. The portions were large and enough to eat. I felt that 2 meals would be enough. The service was also very good, basically available whenever you call. The romantic beach at the hotel is great for snorkeling. The only problem is that the trip to the island is too much hassle, and the time for the free boat to the island is not very friendly.

The waiters are very enthusiastic and helpful. They always smile when you see them. I have a good impression. The food and environment are very good. It is very comfortable to eat and swim. The only drawback is that some small insects will come in through the door. After all, it is understandable that it is a single-family house. The overall hygiene and service are very good.

Friends said that this vacation really exceeded their expectations! The hotel is located in the woods, far away from the hustle and bustle. The environment is very quiet, full of the tranquility and beauty of nature. The swimming pool is particularly large, suitable for both swimming and relaxing. The sea view bathtub in the room is very enjoyable. You can see the unparalleled sea view while soaking in the bathtub. It is simply a wonderful experience. Moreover, the hotel has a romantic beach, which is very suitable for strolling under the sunset, as if you are in a paradise. Whether it's facilities or services, this beach vacation is perfect!

This newly opened Marriott is undoubtedly the number one high-end hotel on Pulau Perhentian. After booking the hotel, remember to contact the hotel to confirm the shuttle boat time to the island twice a day. Marriott has a special yacht shuttle and a private dock, and you can get the room card before leaving the shore. The hotel is located in a large area in the central and northern part of Pulau Perhentian Kecil. There are three restaurants, a swimming pool, a 24-hour gym and a yoga room, a youth and child care center, and two private beaches, but it takes 10 minutes to climb up and down the mountain. The facilities and equipment are complete. If you don’t go offshore snorkeling, you can solve the entire itinerary in the hotel alone. It is suitable for a family vacation. The room is large, with a brand new bathtub in the bathroom. The room decoration style is simple and natural. The mini bar and capsule coffee are free to drink. The bed is large and comfortable. The hotel moves inside by calling the front desk to call for a battery car. I have never encountered the situation of slow pick-up mentioned in some previous reviews. Basically, it takes 3-5 minutes, and no longer than 10 minutes to pick you up. Other facilities such as restaurants, swimming pools, and beach downhill entrances can be called for pick-up, which is very convenient. You can take a small path to Long Beach in Perhentian Island in 10-15 minutes. One is a wild road for climbing the mountain. It is short but there are no lights at night. The other is a longer detour from the resort in the south, but most of the road is lit at night. In short, if I take my family to Perhentian Island next time, I will definitely stay at Marriott. The newly opened hotel is very new and clean. The return trip was a little slow when waiting for the bus, so you need to leave some time, otherwise the boat or plane time will be very tight. There are Malaysian Chinese in the hotel who can check in smoothly even if they don’t understand English👍

I am very happy to have chosen this hotel. The time I spent in the hotel added a lot to my trip. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and polite. The hotel meals were also very delicious.
