I was very disappointed during my visit to Estrella Lodging. I had booked a triple room for three nights. There was a small problem with the reservation, the reservation was made for one person. I approached the host to let him know that there were two of us. Without any problem, she told me that we would pay the difference. There was no problem on my part, I was ready to pay the difference (thinking that it was only the tourist taxes). And no, Madam asked me for €100 more! When she told me the price I was very surprised, especially since I had had a promotion on Booking.. she looked me in the eyes and spoke to me in a really unpleasant tone “you will pay me for them . » I wanted to cancel the next nights, she told me that she would not reimburse me for them. I was then obliged to stay three nights in this hotel, which on top of that was not at all like the internet images. The rooms lack natural light, there were black marks in the corners of the ceiling and construction equipment lying around in the corridors. (See photos) Breakfast was pretty mediocre. Fruits with fairly dull colors. Fruit juices and dairy products such as Lidl brand yogurts.. etc. Slices of bread with edam cheese and ham. 3 mornings in a row wasn't great... I probably have other things to say but I think I'll stop there. In conclusion, the hotel that cost me the most in Malta was actually the worst. I would not recommend at all unfortunately, especially the host who has zero compassion.
