I feel the experience for the price point does not match. The location is spectacular, if the volcano would have been visible otherwise this hotel is a 3 star. No robes, no utensils in the kitchen area, no cream for coffee. Have to check the towels in and out.

The property is stunning. We had a large room, with a secluded terrace with a hot-bath on it. We could sit out and watch the birds. The bathroom was incredible - with a literal waterfall shower - cascading over a rock wall. It also had a normal shower - so much fun.
The pool area is stunning - overlooking Arenal Volcano. Fortunately for us the cloud disappeared and we had fabulous views. We enjoyed happy hour with our swim.
Breakfast was fantastic - range of hot items, we had a front row view of the volcano and shared out breakfast with the many colourful birds.

Shower didn't work. Mattresses seemed to be stuffed with straw and was anode 3-4 inches thick. AC was wonderful. The included breakfast was good and the Dinner menu asking with the quality of food was unparalleled. the postitives far outweighed the negatives.

The restaurant was excellent. I had a fantastic steak. beautiful and well maintained grounds. Lots of birds and butterflies. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Amazing property set in a pristine location overlooking the mighty Arenal volcano. We got upgraded to a spacious villa with a private pool and the sheer size and layout of the space was impressive! The whole property is covered in trees that brings in all sorts of birds that make the place come alive!
Pros:
- location
- layout of the rooms
- quality of food at the restaurant
- the kindness of some of the members of the staff
Cons:
- amenities are a bit dated - our AC started leaking water and flooded part of the room
- service is on the slower side - it took them 3 calls and an in person visit to the reception to get someone to fix the AC after over 12hrs
The cons notwithstanding, this is one of the most amazing places I have had the chance to stay and I would love to come back here in the future.

The view and room was outstanding. The breakfast and the staff was not hospitable. When asking for ice at the bar, we got major attitude. For the money, look some where else.

This was the most beautiful hotel. Our villa was amazing and the property was incredible. We loved the pool and bird watching from our hammock. It was convenient to town and we can’t wait to come back.
