Currently here so start with positives. Hotel is in a good location with beach across the road. It's fairly modern and clean . Breakfast is good with plenty of choice . Unfortunately more negatives. Rooms at rear have really poor views and we ended up in a disabled room which isn't designed for able bodied. Staff are all young and obviously lack hotel experience as not much help especially check in staff who aren't friendly. Hotel appears to be run on a shoe string. No tea , coffee, milk provided in room or water despite 4 star rating which it clearly isn't . Food wise breakfast is fine but forget the rest as it's poor to say the least especially deserts which were a joke ( see pics) No entertainment so pretty soulless. B&B best option . After visiting other hotels for drinks I would look elsewhere as we paid 1500 for a week's holiday and better options in Santa ponsa . Check inn staff need customer services training as weren't interested in our complaint over the room . Pool short on beds and the 4 poster beds empty due to ridiculous charges . Can be queues for drinks as poorly organised same at breakfast. Can't recommend and won't be returning .

Stayed at the hotel for one week, August 2024. First impressions on arrival were good. We arrived around 1am and were told that there was food and drink available for us in the restaurant if we wanted it. We booked two rooms as we have a teenager so she shared with myself and dad went in his own room. The thought of sofa beds sends a shiver so two rooms it was! We were allocated rooms at the back of the hotel. The rooms at the back overlook the back of what looks like an apartment block. See photo. Part of our holiday is enjoying sitting on the balcony, reading or people watching. I went to reception the next morning and explained that I wasn’t happy about the room and was told to return at 12 o-clock and another room would be allocated. I was moved to a room overlooking the pool which was fab. See photo. My hubby stayed where he was as he only used his room to shower and sleep so wasn’t bothered, he came to our room the rest of the time. The rooms are spotlessly clean and modern. Hairdryer, fridge and safety deposit box in the room. Air con was on all the time as very hot, temperature in the 30’s. Rooms cleaned and towels changed daily. The pool area is lovely with lots of sun beds and parasols. Bali beds for hire if you want them. Lifeguard on duty all day. Pool opened at 9am. We stayed half board and the food was nice with plenty of choice. Lots of space in the restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. There is the option to upgrade to all inclusive if you wanted to. The staff were lovely, approachable and if you need anything it’s done for you straight away. The bar/lounge area is nice. Very spacious with plenty of seating. There isn’t any entertainment or daytime activities therefore hardly any young children staying. There is an Irish bar located at the hotel and guests are given a 10% discount. Overall, I would recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again. The hotel is located in what I call ‘the nice end’ of the resort. Beach is nice and we saw some fabulous sunsets. We were a little apprehensive about our stay after reading some of the reviews on here but overall, we had a nice holiday and liked the hotel.

What a great holiday! We booked this as a last minute holiday and we stayed in a room not with a sea view. It’s not the best view (see photo) but we knew what we were getting. If you want a nice view then make sure that you pay for the sea view. The rooms are comfy and modern, small, but do the job you need them to do. They were very clean and this was the same for the hotel. We went all inclusive, and I would strongly recommend paying the difference for this from half board as it’s great value for money. The drinks were great (cocktails I would recommend you pay for if you’re into those) but everything else was spot on. Food was lovely, plenty of variety and good quality. We went for 3 nights and it was perfect for us. The location is brilliant, you’re right on the street and over the road is the beach. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around to nip out too for a change of scenery, which we did most nights. The pool opens at 10am and the lifeguards were very friendly (shout out to David). Plenty of sun beds to go around and you don’t need to fight for one. You can’t put towels out until the pool opens which is good. Good service from staff, all friendly and helpful. Just note if you’re on the all inclusive they cut your band on the morning of check out after breakfast. We had a late flight so we just went out for food in the afternoon. Overall, a great stay. Value for money is what I say! You get what you pay for at this hotel. We would return!

Excellent hotel would highly recommend. Fabulous location and we had a beach view room which was perfect. We paid for all inclusive and the food and drinks were 10/10. Reception staff were very efficient and friendly. Shout out to David the lifeguard and Raul the waiter for the superb service and friendliness.

Stayed at Whala!Isabela For week from 29th July 24, which I booked through Jet2 where I went all inclusive. Had fantastic holiday, loved the room which was as described part pool and part see view. Pluses breakfasts wear amazing, but please have big sausages every day, not every second day, small skinny ones just do not do it. Lunches wear also good, dinner think they should have at least one more meat of choice instead of the one or two. Perfect location close to the beach and middle of santa ponsa *****, night staff on reception, making it perfectly safe environment, throughout my stay. Pool was empty one day, but was filled for around 3pm so, dip shower now and then until it filled. No music but I had headphones in, so was fine relaxing in the sun and taking dip in the pool. Staff were amazing, friendly and always at hand to help, wither it was bar, restaurant, reception or maintenance guy. Only downside would be pool opening at 10am, think you should rethink this one and open it at 9am like most other hotels. Air conditioning in my room had broke, but the maintenance guy came and fixed the broken door censor within an hour, got it working again. All in all good stay, one which i would return, I see you have no prices yet for season 2025, when do these become available ?

Stayed here from 27th June 2024 to 4th July 2024 with my 70 year old mam. We stayed on bed & breakfast basis. We enjoyed breakfast, there was always a good choice of hot and cold food. Mam has mobility issues and required a hotel in a central location. Our room 212 had a lovely sea view. We did not hear much noise from the road outside However noise was heard from inconsiderate guest. The usual doors banging, chairs scrapping across floors and loud voices well after midnight The hotels new pool policy of no towels on sunbeds before the pool opens at 10am was a plus for us. On our two pool days we managed to get a sunbed round the pool. Guests would still leave their towels on the sunbeds and not return for over 2-3 hours. This I think should be stopped. Sunbeds are for people to lay on, not for guest to leave their towels on, leaving sunbeds unoccupied for hours House keeping were always friendly and polite. They did a fantastic job, keeping areas clean and tidy. We only had one issue, when we got back to our room, the room key card in the electricy slot had been taken. This was reported to reception and they ensured me that it was probably house keeping staff took it by mistake and not another guest. Reception replace key card within seconds.

Just returned from a week here as a group of 5 girls celebrating a friend’s 30th. We really enjoyed the holiday but there are definitely pros and cons to this hotel! Pros: - Great location for the beach and Santa Ponsa bars and restaurants - Modern hotel with mostly good facilities, potential for this to be a really good hotel - Rooms were clean and had fresh towels daily, the maids worked really hard all day long to keep the rooms and communal areas clean, they were even out mopping the sun-beds on a morning - Pool bar staff & restaurant staff were really friendly and again worked really hard all day and night - The food was good and what you would expect from AI. Yes it was a little repetitive but there were always plenty of options and we didn’t struggle to find something each day. - We had no issues with the 1 euro cup deposit pool rule and it did help reduce lots of rubbish and empty cups around the pool side Cons: - The hotel really does still have teething problems and we spoke to a lot of people with similar snags - leaks in rooms, no water, broken aircon etc. We had a room for 2 and a room for 3. The room for 2 was really nice, spacious, plenty of storage and a newly refurbished bathroom! The room for 3 was very small, very little storage but worst of all we had a leak through our ceiling from day 1 over the door into our bathroom. We assumed this was from the bathroom above which we notified reception of on Day 1, to which they said ‘Ok’ and nothing was done at all to look at the issue. We just had to throw towels down every day to soak up the funny coloured water. By the end of the week the whole wall was soaking, starting to get mouldy and the room smelt really badly of foist/mucky water. We felt we we’re really lenient with this as most people would not have dodged the unwanted doorway shower for the whole week and demanded to move… but having heard similar snags from many others moving could of also been worse! - Reception staff left much to be desired and some were quite rude. We arrived at 1pm but couldn’t get into our room until 3pm. They checked us in and charged us room tax for both rooms at 1pm, when we returned at 3pm they said the rooms were not ready…then couldn’t find the rooms or booking we’d already checked into. After resolving they gave us our keys but gave us 0 information about facilities, meal times, check out times, cup deposits… really unhelpful. - A really con for us - the pool. The pool area was soooo quiet you could hear a pin drop…no music, no atmosphere, no fun. No balls allowed, no inflatables allowed! It’s not an adults only hotel but the rules make it feel like it should be, it would be boring for kids and/or people who like to have a bit of fun on holiday! It would make a great place for people who want to sit in silence and read a book, but found this didn’t suit most guests! Quite a few people ended up putting their own music on personal speakers which was allowed and much to the approval of most.
