Sanya Jiyang District 5-star Hotels

MGM is absolutely the ultimate family resort! Its unbeatable prime location in Yalong Bay means it's just a short walk to the beach, and our room's balcony offered breathtaking ocean views. The entertainment options were abundant and impressive. Our kids practically lived in the pool and the adorable pet park, never wanting to leave, while adults had a blast with surfing and go-karting. The staff were warm and attentive throughout, with a special mention to Candy who was exceptionally helpful. The breakfast spread was bountiful, and the attention to detail was impeccable. Our entire family had an absolute blast!

The hotel has direct access to the beach, which was my favorite part of the stay. I spent a lot of time in the pool, it was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was also very good, offering a variety of options. The location is convenient, with several restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable, though not very modern. That didn’t bother me much, as I was either in the pool or the ocean most of the time. However, the bathroom had a persistent bad smell after using the shower or toilet, and the bathtub was old and drained water slowly. There is no self-service laundry :-( Airport pickup was available and very convenient. As soon as you exit the arrivals area, you just cross the street and walk for about 2–3 minutes to a designated waiting area where the van picks you up. The airport staff was very nice and they helped me get to the waiting area.

Good place to stay. Clean, handy to lots of cafes and about 10min walk to the waterfront with restaurants and entertainment. Wouldn't call it 5 star, but definitely deserved a solid 4star. We had breakfast included, everything to cover bases, mostly Chinese type food with some European options, like eggs, sausages, toasts as well as fresh fruit. Staff doesn't speak English but easy communication via translation app.

Staying at the Four Seasons was such a beautiful experience 🌿✨ The whole place felt luxurious and welcoming, but what truly made it unforgettable was the bathtub on the balcony 🛁💫 Nothing beats soaking under the open sky with a peaceful view—it felt like my own little slice of paradise. Everything from the service to the atmosphere was top-tier, but that balcony bathtub is what I’ll be dreaming about until my next visit 💕

Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. Gina from guest services was exceptionally thoughtful and went above and beyond. When we decided to add another room on our second day, she proactively reached out via WeChat to ensure our two rooms could be arranged side-by-side. She even arranged for welcome fruit to be delivered. After moving to a higher floor, the views were spectacular, and the initial humidity problem we experienced was also resolved. Our room was immaculately clean, and the hotel's location is incredibly convenient. My family is already planning to return for another stay. Highly recommended!

Third time here and we had a fantastic family holiday again! Location, beach, swimming pools and gardens are gorgeous and really well kept. We love the different pool options and the room with direct pool access is so convenient with kids. I agree with other reviews that rooms could use renovation, especially if they used to be smoking rooms, but daily cleaning is impeccable. The open air breakfast spot is lovely and breakfast choice is excellent, Chinese restaurant is also very good and provided such nice support to celebrate kid’s birthday. Derrick Liu was so helpful to address any concerns, everyone on staff is super friendly and goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Can wholeheartedly recommend!

While the service was a bit subpar in earlier years, it has significantly improved recently, especially with the introduction of a personal butler service. Initially, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I later realized they were genuinely effective at resolving issues. From check-in to room changes, various other services, check-out, and even handling the mailing of forgotten items – their service was truly comprehensive and excellent. A special thank you to our butler, Mei Li. Moreover, despite a recent typhoon, the hotel recovered very quickly. For years, we've consistently dined at Caifeng Pavilion. This year, the food was not only delicious with a rich variety but also came in larger portions. It's truly dependable. However, the arcade remains a letdown. I really miss the days when you could easily win dozens of plush toys. Is it really too much to expect dozens of plush toys after spending 800-900 [currency]? I just can't understand their logic. Furthermore, I'm baffled by whoever decided on the coin system this year. Three or five coins per game would be understandable, but ten coins per game is definitely excessive. Someone needs to look into who came up with this idea – do they think coins are free? Lastly, while changing the key card to a wristband is a convenient idea, an adjustable or elastic one would be much better, as the current one is uncomfortable to wear. Additionally, the access point (card reader) is too close to the door frame, which makes it awkward to open the door.

This summer, our family decided to head to Sanya for a warm beach getaway. When selecting a hotel, I carefully considered location, price, and kid-friendly amenities, eventually booking the Sanya Bay Xinhua Suite Resort. It turned out to be an excellent choice that made our holiday truly enjoyable and full of pleasant surprises. Upon check-in, the front desk staff informed us that we had been lucky enough to receive a complimentary upgrade to a more spacious suite. Stepping into the room, we found the living room to be wonderfully spacious and bright, and the balcony offered an absolutely stunning sea view. Our child excitedly ran around, exploring their 'new territory' with great curiosity. The bedroom was cozy and comfortable, with soft bedding, ensuring we all had several nights of excellent sleep. Even better, the hotel also kindly offered complimentary breakfast for our child. The breakfast buffet at Hi Bowl All-Day Dining was fantastic, offering a wide array of both Chinese and Western cuisine. Our child happily enjoyed their meals each morning, and my partner and I were able to start our day feeling relaxed and refreshed. The hotel boasts an impressive array of kid-friendly facilities, keeping our child thoroughly entertained. The outdoor pool features a dedicated children's splash area with a suitable depth, complete with water slides and other fun activities. Our child eagerly donned their swimsuit and jumped into the water, playing to their heart's content, their laughter echoing around the poolside. The indoor kids' club also had a great selection of toys and play equipment to keep them busy, allowing my partner and me to relax nearby and enjoy a moment of peace. The hotel's location is also fantastic; the beach is just across the road from the entrance. Every evening, we'd take our child for a stroll on the beach, enjoying the beautiful sunset. Our child had a blast digging in the sand and collecting seashells. There are also plenty of convenient dining options nearby, with a variety of seafood restaurants and local eateries to satisfy all tastes. Our stay at Sanya Bay Xinhua Suite Resort was absolutely wonderful. The pleasant surprise of a room upgrade and complimentary kids' breakfast, coupled with the abundant family-friendly facilities and prime location, made our family trip truly perfect. We'll definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Sanya!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel , and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience! 💖 **Location & View:** The hotel is perfectly located, offering a breathtaking sea view from my room. 🌊 Waking up to the sound of waves was a highlight of my stay. 🌅 **Welcome Gifts:** Upon arrival, the staff added me on WeChat and surprised me with lovely gifts, including a free photo shoot 📸, complimentary bus rides to shopping malls 🚌, and city tours. 🏙️ It was such a thoughtful gesture that made me feel welcomed! 😊 **Room Experience:** I extended my stay twice and was delighted that they allowed me to keep the same room with the incredible sea view, even though I had initially booked a cheaper garden view room. 🌺 This was a wonderful perk! 🌟 **Superb Service:** Laura at the reception was exceptionally helpful and polite. 🙌 She assisted me in extending my stay and even arranged a late check-out at 3 PM on my final day, which was perfect since my flight was later in the evening . ✈️ **Facilities:** The swimming pool right by the beach was great 🏊♀️, and the infinity pool on the 3rd floor, which opens at 2 PM, offered another stunning sea view. 🌞 **Dining:** The food was fantastic, with plenty of Western options 🍔, which I preferred. My room was kept impeccably clean, with fresh towels, water, coffee, and tea provided daily. ☕🧼 **Additional Staff:** I also want to mention Aina, who was incredibly polite and helpful during my stay. 🌼 **Check-In Experience:** I was pleasantly surprised to be allowed an early check-in, avoiding the typical wait time. ⏰ Overall, my stay at Sanya Junji Seaview Hotel was fantastic, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a lovely getaway! 🌈✨
