That's a great hotel in a nice area, full of restaurants and coffee shops. I always travel to Shanghai, and this hotel was the best one in terms of location, price, and all I needed as a solo traveler.
There were nice and kind people at the reception. Delicious breakfast and such a beautiful lounge area on the first floor!
Only the best impressions and the longest review I ever wrote. When I was checking out, it was raining, and they gave me an umbrella and even helped me with luggage. Probably that's not something they do all the time, but they were standing at the hotel entrance and just helped me in the moment. So kind!

Arrived late at the hotel and wanton dumpling was served from 10 to 11pm. Room is small with space constraint for larger luggage. I had to move the small coffee table closer to the bathroom door in order to be able to open my luggage. I have requested to check out other room but realised that they do not have the electric drying clothes rack as shown in the trip.com portal. Unlike the sister hotel located near the Jingan temple, this hotel does not offer laundry service. I believe the hotel is running high occupancy and can be rather noisy and disturbance from the guests staying next door as they were talking loudly at late hour. Hotel is within a short walk to the Plaza 66 but a distance from the West Nanjing metro station. Besides the hotel is Lianhua supermarket. Unfortunately the room doesn't have a mini bar, hence the two can of sodas which are provided on complimentary are stored at room temperature. The lobby is rather spacious with lots of co-working space. I decided to shorten my stay and check out the next day.

The staff are very helpful and courteous. They help me with all my enquiries. The hotel itself is cozy and convenient. Very good location and a nice quiet street that is in the centre of the city. The best part was breakfast til 12 noon- I didn’t have to rush for my morning coffee. There are hot desks at the lobby , convenient to get some work done.

The rooms is very small and the wash basin is not separate.
Bathroom also inside the room with a thin glass partition.

Stayed here for one night since our flight was cancelled and we needed somewhere cheap to stay. The room was decent for the price, pretty small but the shower was lovely and the bed was comfy. Lots of small LED lights that were pretty bright and you couldn’t turn off, and the light from the hallway came through the bottom of the door. The staff were quite unfriendly, at check in they didn’t say a word or give us any information. The door opposite also had an issue and was continuously beeping which woke us up, the person in the room had contacted reception and we also rang to inform them but it took around 30 minutes before anyone came up. I ended up going down to reception to rush them because it was super loud and they had no sense of urgency whatsoever. For a cheap night, fine, but wouldn’t stay here longer than 1 night.

A friend recommended me this hotel.
The room is tiny (not Hong Kong tiny, a normal tiny, though even with a small sofa), but the mattress is very good.
First room they gave me had a smoke stink from someone smoking somewhere. Then they change the room, and it was good, no smell.
There is a very nice cafeteria at the reception, some work there like at a co-working space.
The hotel location is one if the best, all the bars, foreign restaurants etc nearby. Walking distance from Nanjing Xi Lu metro station.
There are some more of this hotel in other parts of Shanghai. Cheaper (and would not be surprised if they are bigger, too).
But I prefer Nanjing Xi Lu location, I can literally walk, cycle at most, to all the venues I need, no need to wait for a taxi etc.

This is my regular go-to hotel in SH. It's got a boutique vibe, reasonable price, and great location. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, and the hotel offers lots of "perks" like free wonton soup in the PM and coffee in the AM.

All the toilets in this hotel room use clear glass as the partition and semi-transparent glass for the show partition. It's so embarrassing even to go with your lover, as not everyone like to see each other ****ting.

Location - 10 near embassies, foreign restaurants and bars/clubs.
Cleanliness- 5 could improve. Our room was smelling cigar when we arrived even though it was non smoking room. The shower had some mold in the tiles and ceiling.
Bed - 9 very comfortable, but the pillow was very thick/tall (I personally don’t like)
Room - 7 very small. It’s Ok for a short stay or solo travelers that are looking for a place to sleep.
Cable TV - 0 nothing worked, even Chinese channels. It was very disappointing since I booked this hotel considering they had this option so my son could have something to watch. But it was not working.
Breakfast - 7. Very basic, few options. No omelette or scrambled eggs. Mostly Chinese. But they are open until 12h.
Service - 8. When I complained about the cigar smell in my room they sent someone to clean my room while I was out for dinner. They also gave me masks to go to the embassy when I asked for a place to buy one. But the staff couldn’t speak English.
Overall, I had an ordinary stay. I would recommend it for a short and affordable stay in Shanghai.
