Lai Sang Zhuokang Inn

Ding Zheng have been very helpful on our logistics, picking us up from train station (one-way transfer included in room rate), coordinating with a driver for a day trip as well as giving suggestions on attractions. The room is clean, spacious, well-equipped with floor heater. There're several spots of electrical outlets, and are with the type I can use without using an adapter. Our room has view of Dafo Temple (though partially blocked by neighbouring hotel, but that's ok). You can conveniently walk around the ancient city from this house. Loads of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby. However to arrive or leave, be mindful about the luggage you have, as it will be somewhat difficult if you have to drag your wheeled luggage along old streets in ancient town where some parts have stairs and rough streets, backpacks would allow you to move around better.

Thank you for the prompt response on our request and friendly service to pick up and drop off us at the entrance of town. We did early check in and were service with breakfast while waiting for the room to be ready.

Good location, room and views. However, we were picked up by the owner’s friend who didn’t know where we were going, made us drag our suitcase over the cobbles quite far. Then we arrived and there was no hot water and the hotel said it wouldn’t be fixed until the following day. We had to cut our trip short, although the owner was responsive on WeChat and flexible due to the situation so gave us a refund for the second night.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff, clean apartment and comfortable bed. View from the room is top (see picture). Be aware the toilet has no door, which is typical/ original style in this area, but you need to know.
