The hotel is on the beach of Duoduohu. After taking a bus to Shimoda Station, I changed to a bus and then walked for a while. The hotel is on a hillside, so I climbed a small slope. one of the best authenic japanese seafood dinner and breakfast ever had. not for the picky eater. raw fish and seafood caught right off the shores of the hotel. older hotel with a beautiful beach right in front. if not a raw fish seafood eater, shimoda town wth quite a range of restaurants including italian and western fare. unreal indoor private bath or large public bath with excellent views. great if you want to go native!

Amazing experience at this Ryokan in front of the beach. I stayed in room 211 with a private bath in the balcony. The view from the room was amazing and very beautiful. The shower was great also, located next to the balcony. The hotel has 2 different public baths. One of them is located in the terrace where you can observe the beautiful stars at night while relaxing in the bath. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. There is a ping pong table near the front office where you can play for free. The dinner and breakfast were very delicious and very abundant. I will definitely stay here again if I go to Shimoda.

Very good dinner. Nice onsen that was switched overnight for men and women to give 2 different view and onsen experience.
