Chidambara Vilas - A Luxury Heritage Resort

The stay was a great experience with good food. We had a wonderful time with Priya being an amazing host who gave us interesting insights into the history of the house and the region. The staff of the hotel was nice and helpful in any matter. Come here if you want to learn something about the region aside from temples. :-)

We had a wonderful stay at Chidambara Vilas and it exceeded all our expectations. The property is extremely beautiful, which has beautifully maintained its history and it was a real privilege to stay there. What really enhanced our experience though was the time that the staff put in to explain the history of it, the Chettiars and wider region. They do property and village tours everyday and we’d highly recommend them. The food - we tried breakfast, lunch and dinner - is exceptional and some of the best we’ve had in India. We also loved using the pool and games room. They were also really helpful in organising a transfer to our next destination.

We had a wonderful stay at the Vilas. Priya was amazing - giving us a personal tour around the house, dressing us in Saris to wear to dinner and explained the cooking demonstration. Our room could have been a little cooler, but the vila was a stunning venue.

Such a pleasant stay. The rooms were spacious and excellent condition - modernized yet e***ated history. The place was exceptionally clean and food was delicious. It was like living in a luxurious home with all help taking care of you. Our stay was short but very enjoyable. Another important fact lost my phone and whole staff helped in find my phone.

Ambience is good . Kids have to visit this place, to get to know a pinch of our Heritage. Also a nice place to chill with friends. In buffet certain foods were authentic Friendly approach of the chidambaram Vilas ***agement and staffs holds a high score.

Chidambara Vilas was our wedding venue. It was held over 2 days, 3 nights and we stayed a total 5 nights and we could not have imagined a more ideal ambience, amenities or hospitality. The aesthetics of the ***sion transports you back in time and you feel an immediate sense of serenity stepping into this ancestral home/hotel with a traditional welcome awaiting. We had booked the venue nearly a year prior, without setting foot, with complete trust in Mr.Senthil and he never faltered. He was readily available to guide us in every detail with great patience, knowledge and experience, creating for a smooth transition in person. The coordination with the other vendors was excellent. Much credit goes to the team at Chidambara Vilas, whose kind and caring personas had us feeling welcome and at home. Notably Ms.Priya, Mr.Dinesh, Mr.Nixon, Mr.Hari and the teams under their supervision. Chef Christy created a menu that gave us a taste of the region in buffet and formal banana leaf dining style with 20+ items for savoring each meal. The items catered well to the varying palates and spice tolerances our guests. Vithya, the in house kolam artist, embellished the entry and floors with her intricate designs to create the perfect focal points for the decor. Finally, we are extremely thankful to the original Chettiyar family and the eldest patriarch, who still resides there, for sharing this beautiful jewel to have a prominent place in our own memories. We have all been enriched by this experience.

I should say "CHIDAMBARA VILAS" is a beautiful home at a great location with excellent amenities.Rooms were spotless and spacious, with comfortable beds and pillows. IMPECCABLE CLEANLINESS & MAINTENANCE,hatsoff. Delicious chettinad food with diverse menu was mind-blowing, VEGETARIANS will love it... "நாவின் சுவை நரம்புகள் மலர்ந்து விடும் ". The Personalised attention (i.e.,) assistance with planning activities was superb 👏.We enjoyed and experienced a HIGH QUALITY package deal at an affordable rate.Special thanks to Senthil Anna, Dinesh Anna and Bala Anna you were our pillar of support from the start till end. A unique experience in well appointed rooms. The evening meal is served on a banana leaf. The staff are attentive.The tour of the property with the ***ager is well worth joining as you learn about its history. The view from the roof top tower is worth the climb
