"We had the most wonderful 7 night stay at the Lex Hotel Cebu. The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable.
We took advantage of the hotel shopping shuttle service and especially formed a lovely bond with the two drivers, Roe was one of them and unfortunately we didn’t get the second guy‘s name, but they were so lovely and made us feel comfortable and safe the whole time. They would also share knowledge and history of landmarks we would drive past. The buffet breakfast was lovely, although they didn’t have a huge western selection we were grateful to be served wonderful local cuisine every morning. The staff in the restaurant Kai were also wonderful and took great care of all guests. The rooftop pool is shallow but lovely enough to cool down on a warm day with a cocktail.. the location is fantastic with everything you need near by and the very popular House of Lechon just down the road. Thanks guys, if we’re ever back in Cebu, we’ll be sure to stay again."

"I came to Cebu, Philippines for business. I heard the Philippines can be a bit chaotic, so I chose this hotel near the airport. It's about 500m from the airport, a 10-minute walk. However, the room is quite old, especially the facilities, which seem decades old. You can imagine its former glory, but it's certainly not like that anymore. Plus, the room rate was expensive, over 700 yuan. The air conditioning in the room was set very cold; even with two duvets, it felt just right. I tried to turn up the temperature, but couldn't, and I couldn't turn it off either."

JJaneCherviakovaThe hotel is about a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport, which is true and very convenient. You're greeted with live music at the entrance. Security is present: security checkpoints, baggage scanning, and guards with dogs.
The hotel has its own beach and three entrances to the sea. The water is crystal clear, fish swim right off the shore, and life jackets are free. The hotel is very family-friendly. There are water slides, a kids' club, and a huge playroom. You can even leave your child with a nanny (for an additional fee). There are daily activities for both children and adults, including arcade machines, air hockey, and morning yoga.
Breakfast is included, and it's excellent. There are two restaurants, a huge selection of food, and everything is delicious. Even ice cream is included. After breakfast, children are given marbles—a small change, but a nice touch. Lunch and dinner are extra. There are Italian and Cantonese restaurants, as well as various buffets. There are bars on the beach, by the pool, and in the lobby. Live music plays in the evening, creating a great atmosphere. The grounds are vast: golf, mini-golf, tennis, billiards, table tennis, and badminton. Wi-Fi works great throughout the property. The staff is very friendly.
The main drawback is the renovations; they need a refresh. However, the service and infrastructure are still excellent.

JJeffrey0210We chose to stay here a day early after our Bohol vacation because we didn't want to wake up early for the ferry to Cebu Airport. It's about a 50-minute drive from the Cebu pier and 30 minutes from the airport, so the transportation is quite decent.
The environment lives up to Sheraton's quality. The hotel seems relatively new, so the facilities are very well maintained, and the views are absolutely stunning. Our room type had two 1.3-meter double beds, perfect for two adults and two children, with one adult sharing a bed with one child. The bathroom is spacious and clearly partitioned, with a well-designed shower, toilet, bathtub, vanity, and storage. The bedroom lighting is excellent, and the night light is a definite plus – just enough light for adults to browse their phones after the kids are asleep without waking them up.
Now, for a complaint about the food. We had the dinner buffet at 5cien, and it was, without a doubt, the worst buffet I've ever had. Not a single dish was to my taste. The selection wasn't extensive to begin with, and then the food itself was just bad. It really doesn't justify the price of approximately 235 RMB per person. I tried everything, and it was practically inedible and a waste of ingredients. In the end, I had no choice but to eat the steamed dishes, but even those felt a bit undercooked. Because of that evening's experience, my expectations for breakfast the next day were very low. I didn't dare to hope for anything good, just ate a little and quickly checked out. Breakfast was slightly better than dinner, but that's about all I can say.

MMeihuizzzzThe entire resort consists of 1-2 story buildings, giving it a real vacation vibe away from the bustling city. The staff were incredibly friendly throughout our stay. You do have to be patient with the slower service, like dishes being served, which is common in the Philippines, but then again, we were there to enjoy a 'slow-paced life.' If you want your room cleaned quickly, you'll need to call the front desk specifically, otherwise, it typically won't be done until after 3 PM.

GGuest UserThis is a hidden gem and we highly recommend this resort!
Pros:
- It is next to a coral reef and they provide free snorkeling equipment in great condition to use! This is the best reason to stay here, all the snorkeling you want for free and without the need to travel!
- Very cozy environment with about 8 rooms only? You will have lunch and dinner with the same groups of people.
- Food is delicious, slightly expensive but reasonable. From my short experience, the specials of the night tend to be nicer than the normal menu items, but they are all good regardless.
- I love the resort arranged tour. We took a whale shark + secret waterfall tour, and the guide, Alex, was great. It was a personal tour (2 of us) and we had to leave at 4am (we were slightly late and left around 405-410am), and when we reached the whale shark place, it was already quite crowded and we got a queue number of 52 - still pretty good. After taking the queue number, there are a bunch of shops to shop around, but we stupidly forgot to bring any cash, and Alex was kind enough to lend us money for breakfast and souvenirs. He even helped us bargain with the street peddlers when they tried to overcharge us. When swimming with the majestic whale sharks, he used his go-pro to help us take photos and videos, so we just need to enjoy ourselves and pose. Personally, I think the whale shark experience is pretty basic, not well organized and too crowded, but Alex made the experience unforgettable with his personal touches and help.
Cons:
- The worst part is getting there. It took us 5.5 hours to get here from Mactan-Cebu Airport using the private transfer when we arrived around 1230pm Saturday. There was jam to get out of the airport, jam in Cebu city and road works all along the road to Granada. When we returned to the airport in Monday morning 4am, the trip took about 3 hours.
- The massage is in a room with a nice sea view, but the massage was very gentle and I prefer something stronger to sooth the body aches (from sitting in the car for over 5 hours). So I guess this is up to personal preferences.
- The snorkeling was great, but it could be a bit intimidating when it's just the 2 of us snorkeling unsupervised in a large open sea. We did not face any danger, but also did not dare to venture too far and for too long as we city folks are worried about snakes and jellyfishes. We do see fishes jumping out of the sea in the distance, and this could be a sign of predators nearby.
- Adults only. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would love to bring our kids here in the future and spend more time here. However, with their adults only policy, we won't be able to do that.

GGuest UserEveryone working at the resort were very helpful. Sometimes we had to queue between 10-15 minutes to be seated for breakfast and some of the food that ran out took time to be replaced.
My friends ate at the oyster restaurant. The oysters were tiny, there were no side dishes available and they waited nearly an hour to receive a drink.
The Oyster bar closes at 10pm so if you want a drink you must be there by 9.30pm. The pina colada’s were my favourite. There is another 24 hour bar.
We went out on the water for an island hop with bbq and parasailing and both times the guys on the boats were very attentive and cooked excellent food.
I used the spa twice. First for a manicure. They had to request an external beautician and because of the busy traffic after 1.5 hours they hadn’t arrived and I cancelled. On another day I had a massage and facial. The facial was all natural ingredients eg) honey and was heavy handed. Some spa etiquette needed improving eg) leaving the door open during the treatment and the therapist standing in the room whilst I got dressed.

GGuest UserThe food was delicious and fairly priced. The staff were very accommodating—they even allowed us to extend our checkout until 12 NN instead of 11 AM, which we really appreciated.
The only downside was the aquapark pool, which had a noticeable amount of floating moss coming from the inflatables.
Overall, we were satisfied with our stay at Solea. We will definitely come back during the lean season to enjoy the facilities even more.

NNat ShanghaiThis hotel is very convenient, located only about 20 minutes from the airport, which makes it perfect before a flight. It is a large property, yet it remains surprisingly peaceful. The staff are truly lovely and welcoming.
The rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped with everything you might need. The food is excellent, especially the breakfast, which offers a great selection.
We spent a fun evening at the Sports Bar — my children really enjoyed all the activities available. The only downside, in my opinion, was that the prices there were quite high.
Aside from that, the view from the pool is stunning, and there is a pleasant small beach to enjoy. We had a wonderful stay before catching our flight.

GGuest UserRoom is not worth the price paid. Paid for 2 additional persons but no toiletries were added for them in contrast to what the staff said about additional guests. Some amenities are not available. No bikes, for game room access, you’re only given 30 mins for table tennis (that’s it for the whole family). Not everyone can use the inflatable slides (only for the two guests). P.S. Booked 2 rooms + 2 additional guests.
