"A wonderful stay with warm smiles and tasty breakfast. Wehad a great experience at Amber Hotel Cebu. The staff were all incredibly smiley and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment I arrived. The breakfast was simple, but honestly still tasty and satisfying - just what we need to start the day right. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything worked as expected. A couple of minor things to note: the hotel doesn’t provide slippers, so you might want to bring your own, and the shower area is a bit small, which can cause water to splash around. But these didn’t take away from the overall positive vibe of my stay. For the price, service, and location, I’d gladly stay here again. Highly recommended!"

"Not the first time staying here, and will go back again. Location is perfect, all the necessities can be found within a walking distance. Amenities: All the important amenities are available except for hand towels and you have to beg for towels and pretty much the replenishment of amenities after the room is cleaned, far different from the last time when it was still Belmont. First room we were given had a very mouldy smell and which gave the kids and I instant headaches. They eventually changed it after about 4 hours of waiting and intervention by Trip.com. This really put a damper on things. Breakfast: Great, the variety is good, but it’s the same pretty much everyday. The beach: Within 5 minutes walk, but don’t you dare lose of misplace the beach pass paper tag, they’re very uptight about it. The beach if not the best beach, very rocky which makes swimming pretty uncomfortable. However, the pool area is awesome and there are sun loungers all around and that makes up for the unpleasant beach. They provide swimming towels too! I must say it has developed a lot since the last time I was here and I can only hope they will keep improving."

"Noisy hostel. Loud party music in the night, construction noise in the day. Upper floor shakes, creaks when guests walk on it. While the complimentary welcome drink and staff friendliness are commendable, the terrible noise in the place that disrupts anyone's sleep is not worth the cheap price. Some insensitive and drunken guests also add up to the noise, when Management can effectively handle these issues if they have the right strategies. I requested for a lower bunk bed when booking, but was not granted. No locker key was provided."

"I have had the pleasure of booking this hotel on four separate occasions, each time I visit the Philippines. I was particularly impressed by the Manager on Duty, who graciously accommodated my request for a city-view room on a high floor. I have always been drawn to this hotel due to its prime location, excellent breakfast selection, and courteous staff who consistently provide exceptional assistance. I highly recommend this Bayfront hotel at Cebu Capitol Site for its outstanding services."

"The hotel's location is pretty good, about 3 kilometers from Pier 1 in Cebu, and there's a large shopping mall nearby. It's convenient to take a taxi to the airport from here, and traffic jams are less likely. Magellan's Cross, the Basilica del Santo Niño, and Ayala Center are also about 3 kilometers away by taxi. The beds in the twin room are small, but the room itself is clean and tidy. The hotel breakfast is decent."

"Room was nice, bed was comfortable. Was a bit disappointed that the pool was closed for repairs. For that reason we only stayed for one night. Staff very friendly and attentive and the location is well positioned between the airport and the downtown."

"This hotel has an excellent location, right next to the capitol building in Cebu. Many useful shops were within walking distance. Good restaurants as well. Its greatest strength is its convenient location. The service staff were very polite, always opened the door, allowed us to make a small adjustment to our reservation (very kind!), and even lent us an umbrella when it rained. Downsides are that there's almost no parking, the wifi doesn't consistently deliver internet connection even if you're connected to the wifi, the room was very noisy due to no sound dampening, the room was incredibly small, and there's no comforter on the bed! Only a thin sheet. I think at the very least I would recommend fixing the internet connection and adding a top layer sheet, so that sleeping is more comfortable. With those improvements I think it would be quite a bit better. The service staff definitely left a positive impression on me, excellent service 👍"

"Comfortable beds, lovely 2 bedroom apartment. The pool is beautiful. There is a swim up bar, but no one is there. There is a bar onsite, but it’s not really “open”. It isn’t staffed, I had to call to get someone to come up, and I don’t think there’s drinks actually there, as Yvette had to go downstairs to get my beers. She was lovely though, she chatted to me while I had a beer. The room has tea and coffee, toothbrush/paste set. We were the only guests there, so it was very quiet. It’s a massive, cool hotel. Overall a great stay!"

"Good hotel. we had the misfortune of staying on the same floor with a group of Chinese tourists, they staeted shouting at 7 in the morning in the corridor. The staff intervened promptly. Breakfast is decent forea few days trip, the bacon seems cooked in batches and reheated when needed, so it's too dry and not how it should be. The swimming pool is decent, you get sunshine between 10 am and 2 pm, then there is the shades of the building."

"We stayed at the Waterfront for one night to attend the Hillsong concert, and our experience was absolutely wonderful! The room was stunning—I fell in love with its charming vintage ambiance. It was impeccably clean, beautifully scented, and wonderfully soundproof. To our delight, we were upgraded from a standard room to a Superior—thank you, Waterfront! The staff truly made our stay exceptional, especially the front desk team. Check-in and check-out were effortless, smooth, and welcoming. Breakfasts were a delight, offering a fantastic start to our day. The Wi-Fi was a bit congested, likely due to the concert that evening, but thankfully we had our backup ready—no worries there! A special shoutout to the Christmas tree—it’s absolutely breathtaking and added such a magical touch to our stay. Overall, a memorable one-night stay, and we can’t wait to return!"
