A wonderful place for recreation 🫶 lived 2 families from 25 to 30 December in the smallest villa, all this time with us were wonderful Steve and Muhammad. Steve took us all over the island wherever we wanted and took us from anywhere, thank you Steve 🙏Muhammed also took care that our rest was careless, helped to organize the washing, Organized us a tour to the sea 🙏ville clean every day, there is everything necessary for cooking food (we did not prepare TK on the sairi a lot of delicious cafes). I definitely recommend this place for rest, very atmospheric and comfortable, in the surrounding jungle ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at Kupu Kupu Phangan and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. The grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and very well-maintained—ideal for relaxation and well-being.
A very special thank you goes to the fantastic team, especially Bank, AD, Micky, San, Aek, Lin, Ziny, Nonoe, and Foam. Everyone was always warm, attentive, and incredibly friendly.
We were particularly touched by the loving and patient way our son was treated. As a family, we felt welcome from the very first moment.
We would love to return and wholeheartedly recommend Kupu Kupu Phangan.

I.S.This was our second time staying at this hotel. This visit, we got bungalow COCO 8. It's located right next to the road, so you can sometimes hear the noise of passing traffic. The bungalow itself is generally good, but there's one issue: a large gap under the door lets insects into the room. There's a mosquito net above the bed, but it's a bit worn out with holes in places, so there's a chance of getting bitten by mosquitoes...
The food is tasty and reasonably varied. There's a nice pool with a pleasant sea view. The pier is also within easy walking distance.

We had an absolutely amazing stay. Fantastic service, beautiful gardens, clean rooms. Upon arrival we received a welcome cocktail and the room had a beautiful welcome display on the bed with a free coconut mango cake. There is a lovely village walking distance from the resort, so you can get lots of different food options. The beach is beautiful and has a stunning view of the sunrise. The staff went above and beyond to find me a firm memory foam pillow on request. I loved the spa treatment- so relaxing!
The only negatives was that the pool temperature in the main pool and villa were both freezing. There were also quite a few mosquitoes around, but the resort provides complimentary mosquito repellent and electric mosquito repellents. The beach is not very safe for swimming due to a strong undercurrent.
Overall, 5 star experience and we would love to come back!

I had the great pleasure of staying at the Sunset Hill Boutique Resort from March 19th to March 23rd, 2026 – and all I can say is: it was simply perfect!
From the very first moment, I felt incredibly welcome. The entire team was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always eager to fulfill every wish. You can immediately tell that they work with passion here. I was particularly impressed by how lovingly and professionally the staff took care of us – truly first-class service!
The atmosphere at the resort is fantastic, quiet, and relaxing – exactly the right place to unwind and enjoy your time. Everything was very clean, well-maintained, and simply made you feel good.
I was completely happy and satisfied with my stay and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Many thanks to the entire team for this wonderful time – I would love to come back again!

Varivana feels more like a place to sleep than a classic Thailand vacation hotel. The common areas are mostly unshaded, so aside from staying in the room, there is not much to do on the property.
The rooms themselves are very nice, and the sleep experience is excellent. However, the balconies are not very comfortable and do not invite spending time outside.
Overall, the service is good, and the hotel works well if you are mainly looking for a quiet, comfortable place to rest.

Guest UserThe room was very neat and very spacious for 2 including a good broad balcony. The staffs were friendly and helped us book our snorkeling tours along with our return ticket from koh tao to surat thani airport. Also they have free shuttle to and from the pier which is very helpful. They have a good breakfast buffet as well 😋

After arriving on the island, there's a free shuttle. Just look for the one with the Seashell sign. The hotel is quite large, with its own beach restaurant and bar. The room was spacious and very clean, but it seemed like there was no hot water for showering. It wasn't an issue during the day, but showering after the bar at night was a bit cold. I couldn't find a toothbrush in the room, but there was a hairdryer.

The bungalow for two people was spacious enough to fit two large suitcases. Inside, there's a fridge and air conditioning. It features a huge 200x200 bed and good quality pillows. The front desk staff were lovely and allowed us to check in earlier than scheduled. We rented a motorbike directly from the hotel for 250 baht per day. The set breakfasts, enjoyed with a view, were excellent and cost 200 baht. The hotel is situated on a hill, nestled in the jungle, perfect for those who enjoy the sounds of birds, cicadas, and frogs. There are small ants, but that's nature and didn't bother us much. The best part about this location is the stunning sea and mountain views! It feels like a village, surrounded by palm trees and flowers! It's a quick 5-minute motorbike ride downhill to the center. Overall, a wonderful room, location, and staff!
