GGuest UserWe like the welcome drinks and good atmosphere for youth. There is lift to every floor including street level to ground floor. The 4You Hostel is behind us towards the right. There is bicycle rental nearby which we may use if it was not snowing. Usual hostel with shared bathroom. We had good warm shower.

KKa Ki HungKitchen is surprisingly clean and tidy, no sticky floor/tables/weird smells, that's great. The dinning table is small and separate from the kitchen room, which I think it's better not to disturb the people who cook and who enjoy the meals. The clubs nearby will still have noise until 5am, people may feel hard to sleep although the windows are closed, if they have sensitive ears.

GGedebaoI chose this place to see the opera. I will cross the road and be next to Fank Jaap and Hermes. If you are sightseeing, the Palace is next to the Opera House. Maria Square is also a 10-minute walk away. From the airport, take the subway directly to Maria Square. It is also a few steps away from the famous Royal Beer House, and I am the farthest to the old painting collection. In short, it is very convenient. The hotel is very small, the room is not big but it looks elegant and clean, the bed is particularly soft, and the TV mini refrigerator safe is available. The hotel still has no front desk self-service, you can do the whole process without a waiter (although I still see it), the mobile phone operation opens the door, it is the first time to encounter it, when you check out, the waiter also asked me if I want to check out late. In short, it is great, I hope to stay here next time. (Say I can't upload the picture format is wrong)

GGuest UserGood value for money, along with a convenient location for bus, metro, etc etc. Good breakfast, ideal for a couple of days stay. Hotel’s on the second floor, it could be a little confusing for some people, but it has a huge sign that says hotel. Lobby staff was nice and very helpful. All in all, it was ok

GGuest UserThis is a personalized long review for your stay at a&o München Hackerbrücke. To make the review more authentic and helpful, I've combined your booking information (3 nights, 6-person dorm, total price of 71 Euros, request to be away from the elevator, etc.) and added common real-world details of staying at this hotel. You can directly copy and paste it onto Trip.com or other travel platforms. 🌟 Munich's High Value-for-Money Gem: A Perfect Base for Solo Backpackers! Overall Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5 stars) I stayed in Munich for three days (May 6th - May 9th), and as a solo traveler, I chose the A&O Hostel at Hackerbrücke. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations; it's definitely a 'hidden gem' for value in a high-cost city like Munich! 📍 Location & Transportation: The hotel's location is extremely appealing. It's just a stone's throw away from the Hackerbrücke S-Bahn station, and from there, it's just one stop to Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). Getting to city center attractions like Marienplatz also takes only a few minutes. If you enjoy a good city walk, strolling along Arnulfstraße is also quite pleasant. 🛏️ Room & Facilities (6-person dorm): I booked a bed in a 6-person dorm. Space and View: The room is about 18-19 square meters. Even with bunk beds, there's still enough space to move around once everyone's luggage is laid out. The best part is that the room offers a very nice city view and good natural light, which prevents it from feeling cramped. Quietness: I must commend the hotel's front desk service! When I booked on Trip.com, I specifically requested to be 'away from the elevator.' True to their word, the front desk arranged for me to be in a room further down the corridor upon check-in. This is so important for a hostel, as it successfully avoided the noise of people coming and going in the middle of the night. I had a very good rest all three nights. Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the rooms and shared bathrooms is considered above average for hostels in the same price range in Europe. Housekeeping cleans daily. 💰 Value for Money & Additional Services: Price: For 3 nights, including taxes and various discounts, I only paid a total of 71.14 Euros! That works out to less than 24 Euros per night. In Munich, a city where every square inch counts, being able to rent a safe, clean, and conveniently located bed at this price is truly excellent value. Dining Suggestions: My booking did not include meals. While the hotel offers a breakfast buffet, I'd recommend exploring the nearby train station or bakeries for more choices and more authentic local food. 💡 Tips for Other Travelers: Remember to bring your own toiletries, towel, and slippers (due to European environmental policies, hostels usually don't provide these for free). Valuables need to be locked in a locker; it's advisable to bring your own padlock. If you're a light sleeper, remember to request 'away from the elevator' like I did when booking, or bring a pair of earplugs. Summary: If you're a solo traveler or student like me, with a limited budget and most of your time spent exploring the city, this A&O is definitely your top choice. The next time I come to Munich, I'll very likely choose to stay here again!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is a lot better from what we expected! We arrived couple hours earlier befofe the check-in time, intended to drop our luggages and check-in at 3pm. But the kind staff, he lets us to check-in earlier without forcing any charges🥹 The room is so different from pictures on the internet, in a good way! I think we got the renovated floor (5th) with brand new room design. We were absolutely satisfied with this hotel, as it meets 3-star hotel expectations. Though I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for famoly trips, it is mainly suitable for couples or friends or even individuals travelling on budget.

MMatthewcox01This branch of a and o, while fancy looking was too far from center and Munich mass transit is expensive. However it was clean and new. The major security issue was that there are not free security lockers inside the room to store my items. I personally would choose another location.

GGuest UserDifficult to find, poorly identified.  Not provided with 2 twin beds as described, was 1 queen bed with two sets of sheets. No cookware provided despite having a hot plate top.  Private bathroom was clean and adequate.  No towels provided.  No reception to check in with or ask questions too.  No luggage storage available.  Wouldn’t stay again, and certainly not by myself as a female traveller. For one night was adequate at best.

GGuest UserThe surrounding environment is very quiet, the hotel is relatively small, two floors, the room is a bit small, the two beds are very crowded, the rest can have an aisle to walk, the bed is very narrow 0.9 meters, maybe the hotel bed in Munich is similar; I stayed for three days and the bathroom was not replaced and cleaned. In addition, the floor drain in the shower room seemed to be blocked and the water was very slow. Every time I stepped on the puddle to take a shower; the boss is Chinese, and he takes care of Chinese compatriots. It is good to stay temporarily for business.
