Guest UserExcellent hotel! I found it completely by chance, but it turned out to be the best choice I could have made. The value for money is perfect — everything is at a very high level. The room was clean, neat, and cozy, and the bathroom was spacious and spotless. A special highlight was the beautiful balcony with a lovely view over the city.
The staff were very friendly, and the room service was truly excellent — fast, polite, and efficient. The location is perfect: there are plenty of cafés, bakeries, restaurants, and shops nearby, the metro is just a couple of steps away, and you can even walk to the Eiffel Tower.
I am extremely satisfied with my stay and would like to express my sincere gratitude to the team at Hôtel Montcalm Paris for their outstanding service. Highly recommended — I will definitely come back again!

Located on the Champs-Élysées, the hotel is conveniently located. Just exit from Line 1 and walk straight into the LV building. The hotel offers warm service, and coffee and tea are provided free of charge in the lobby.

Guest UserThe room was small but MORE than adequate for a solo traveler. They also incorporated storage spaces that I didn't even use, since as under-bed drawers and a little closet. I thought it was a very clever use of space.
The air conditioning in my room was very good and kept the room quite cool. The room was clean when I arrived and perfectly refreshed each day when I returned. I very much enjoyed my stay.
The shower in the bathroom was my only difficulty. It was small enough that I couldn't bend over. 🤣 But all in all, it was a very efficient use of space and perfectly adequate for a space I only occupied to sleep
I also liked having local TV stations, as I got to watch the fireworks on Bastille Day.
I don't know what the hamman is.
I think there were plenty of transportation options nearby, but as a solo woman, I felt mildly uncomfortable with the vibe of the neighborhood. It didn't feel dangerous at all. But there were quite a few homeless people between the hotel and any bus stop/train station. I don't know a solution. I just think a solo woman traveler would want to know this. Again, I never felt unsafe. Just a little ”aware” of my vulnerability at night.
I would 100% stay here again.

The hotel's location is fantastic, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. My family and I loved it; we booked two rooms for two nights. However, the reception staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. We discovered that the rooms were on the top floor and were always cold because the air conditioning was inadequate. There was also a persistent unpleasant odor in the hallways. What bothered me most was the lack of water in the rooms, except for the minibar, which contained two bottles. After using them, the attendant asked us to pay for them. When checking out, they asked me how many bottles of water I had used. I said two because I realized I had to pay 5 euros for a small bottle, which is exorbitant. After paying and checking out, the receptionist announced that they had discovered I had used three bottles, not two, as if I had stolen a bottle of water. I booked two rooms with three beds each; we were a family, and one of my children might have used the hotel water without me noticing. I paid a considerable sum for the hotel, and the bottle of water was a small price to pay.

The room was clean and spacious, with a pleasant atmosphere. The front desk was open 24 hours a day, and unlimited free drinks were available. (Coffee, cocoa, and sparkling water were also available.) Kitchenware was provided, so you could cook your own meals. Numerous supermarkets and a metro station were a 20-meter walk away, and Line 13 runs through the heart of Paris.

Shell_offThis hotel isn't bad, but it doesn't quite live up to a European 3-star standard. It's a 10-minute walk to the metro, and then a 30-minute ride to the city center. The breakfasts are a bit monotonous, and for some reason, they serve raw eggs. Also, if you don't leave your room before noon, it won't get cleaned. Overall, my impression was that it was decent, but it definitely could have been better.

The hotel's location is excellent: close to the metro, McDonald's, and a grocery store are very close, and all the city center attractions are within walking distance.
The staff is helpful and polite.
The hotel is in good condition, with a working elevator and plenty of TV channels. The room is small, like all Paris hotels.
The most important thing in winter is that the hotel is very warm!
The bathroom had a window :)
Cons:
- No kettle in the room
- Safe doesn't work
- Very small shower stall (barely fits a 90+ kg person)

Anonymous UserBreakfast: Standard continental, with a spacious dining area. However, the French chain burger joint right outside is absolutely delicious, with a Caribbean flair.
Room: The double room felt cramped, which is understandable given it's only 13 square meters, similar to some student accommodations in the UK. I wouldn't recommend it.
Cleanliness: The lobby is large and quite good. However, there were small bloodstains on the sheets, which looked like they had been washed many times. The bathroom is tiny, as the bathtub takes up a lot of space. It feels like an old building that's been converted, similar to the 'laopoxiao' (old, dilapidated, and small) apartments you find in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. You could probably find a better option for the same price. But then again, it is a chain hotel.
Location: It's fairly convenient, within 30 minutes of major attractions. However, the entrance isn't very conspicuous, and you have to climb a steep hill to get there. There's a nice park near a subway station behind the hotel.

Safe area and located near metro. On arrival you are asked for your passport details and it is recorded on a system.
Staff are friendly and willing to help
However I was not made aware that there was a major event on my departure. This meant I could have missed my connection back to London. Just a note for the staff to let visitors know if an event is happening.
