The room is so big with private onsen! It also has a great view.

Everything is excellent there. One of the best 溫泉酒店 I have been staying in Japan Location very close to 高山老街.  Foods and services are excellent as well. Preferably can offer one free drink during dinner. 

Top class service with amazing food! Only downside was the rooms were on the older side but I think most hotels in takayama are old. Asking anyone, this is probably considered the best Ryokan in town.

The staff is very nice and the room is big. We drive and it is convenient. However it’s far a bit from station if you take train. The food is very delicious! WiFi is a bit weak. Price is high but reasonable.

We come back again after the last visit eight years ago. Remains the same good welcome and quality and comfortless!!

Very traditional type

This time, in order to experience this No.1 hot spring hotel, I specially booked their home. I tried both the main building and the annex. In terms of interior luxury and service requirements, the main building is still the best. They provide pick-up and drop-off services, and I have experienced 3 cars alone. The pick-up and drop-off vehicles are different for different numbers of people. Take off your shoes before entering the door. Regarding this, I am still very curious about how they remember the owner of the shoes. The smallest room was booked, but because it is a tatami, the space is still very large. There is no private bath in the room, but there is a public bath on the first floor, and you can also go to the annex opposite to take a bath. I booked a one-night stay with two meals. Dinner is kaiseki cuisine, and you can also order sushi. The breakfast is richer than the annex, and the miso paste is awesome!

I think the price and service are really good. The price is a bit high, but the service is excellent. They immediately respond to your request. I wanted a hotel with a Japanese feel this time, so I chose this one. The hotel is close to the old street, and our room has a bath. The bath and the surrounding area are very clean. It feels like the hotel has a history, but it's still well-maintained. They were very proactive in taking photos for us, cleaned our car before we left, and gave us a friendly farewell when we left. They also proactively reminded us to be careful when we were out and about. On the other hand, the famous sushi restaurant next to the hotel seemed less friendly. They said the last order was 9:30 AM and closed at 10 PM, but when we arrived at 9 PM, the staff were very reluctant to serve us and seemed to be ostracizing Chinese people. It felt like they were constantly giving us the cold shoulder throughout our meal, which made our experience less than ideal. This was a minor drawback.

On June 23, we encountered a flash flood and could not go to Takayama. We negotiated with the hotel and finally refunded one day's accommodation. It was a pity. I will definitely make up for it next time. It is the best choice to go to Takayama. There is also a one-night two-meal and hot spring bath that I like. The hotel also has its own skin care products, which are really good to use.

We landed in Nagoya and chartered a car to Takayama. We stayed at Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan. The living room is suitable for three people to sleep on tatami. Outside the house is a panoramic view of Jinya. It is very quiet here. The location of the hotel is very good. You can walk to the old street and the morning market. It is also very close to Marumei. The sushi restaurant in the hotel is also delicious😋.
