The park was very dry this late in the season, the worst part was the billowing dust as you walked thru the camp site. The grass was very dry this late in the season, and the pool and hot tub were closed. Other than that it was easy to get in and out of park.

I bought an annual Camping Pass in may and was assured I could easily book spots in the future. Online reservations are almost impossible to get. I booked a 4 night stay in bend months ago. I arrived and wanted to stay longer. I tried to extend online and received the park full please call message. I Then tried to book as a non-member and the spots were open. I Contacted Jake Cahill in sales to inquire. He skirted the my observation that member were not allowed to book sights but explained 10 percent of the park was reserved for retail customers but said I could check with park ranger to see if there was room for me to extend 9 more nights. Ranger John basically told me there was no room for that long of stay but acted like he was doing me a favor with a 3 night extension. I changed my plans and again tried to extend online. This time it showed 1 additional night was available. I contacted a different ranger two days after John told me an additional stay wasn't possible and was granted my original 9 day extension. I have found the Bend Campround to be my favorite because of the large private sites. Unfortunately all the parks I've visited are in need or maintenance and repair. Booking sites is nearly impossible in my experience with the annual camping pass plan. The company then seems to play games telling you spots are or aren't available depending on the employee. It should be noted the park had 20 percent or more empty spots during my 13 night stay. I also find the inability to reserve specific spots very undesirable. I will warn everyone I know not to purchase a membership with Thousand Trails.

The staff was very informative and friendly. Park was clean and very well maintained. By far my favorite campground I have been to yet.

We planned on only staying a couple of days since there was no full hook up sites. We liked it so much there we ended up staying a week longer. We knew our tanks could hold a weeks worth. Loved the oversized sits and the distance between your neighbor. We ended at a spot where every other site had someone in it. So more spacing between you and your neighbor.

Didn’t want to be bothered to notify the guests that a boil water order was in place! Leaving a sign on the bathroom door is NOT ACCEPTABLE when it’s a public health issue

Usually we love our stay at the Bend/Sunriver Thousand Trails, but this year the best part was that they had both pools up and running. The upkeep of the campground is sorely lacking, and the fact that the general store and town square was shut down due to the fact that they had been vandalized was truly dissapointing.
