This hostel is 3 mi (4.8 km) from Tokyo Dome and 3.6 mi (5.8 km) from Tokyo Imperial Palace. Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as a sauna, or other amenities including complimentary wireless internet access and a communal living room. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Make yourself at home in one of the 122 air-conditioned rooms featuring microwaves. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Shared bathrooms with hair dryers are provided.

"Room was a little crowded with 24 beds, and no lockers to store things. But the women’s bathing room made up for it. Warm pool and nice dry heat in the sauna felt like luxury for such a good price! I would definitely recommend this place to others. Lounge area is a quiet place to collect your thoughts or surf online. I wish they offered at least water for the guests. But Location is only steps from the metro. Can’t beat the pros about this place. All floormates were incredibly considerate and made no noise. Not even a whisper. I slept really well here! Better than at home. Outlet, lamp and shelf in every sleeping pod. I only wish there were small lockers for at least our valuables, if not our luggage."

OOctaviane Stefina EnggraWe checked in around 11 PM, and staff were still available, making the process quick and smooth. The lobby offered comics and other entertainment. Free breakfast was also served from 5 AM to 10 AM. While some noise is unavoidable, light sleepers can use the provided earplugs. For me, someone who falls asleep the moment my head hits the pillow, it wasn't an issue at all. The bathrooms were spotless and fully equipped. You could arrive with absolutely nothing and be perfectly fine.

NnaivecloudOur stay in Tokyo at this hotel near Kinshicho was absolutely fantastic, and I cannot recommend it enough! The location is ideal – just a 10-minute walk to Kinshicho Station, which connects you so easily to the rest of the city. Around the station you can find everything you need: shops, restaurants, convenience stores, and even entertainment. It made exploring Tokyo simple, comfortable, and stress-free. But what impressed us most was the room itself. From the very first moment we walked in, everything felt clean, modern, and thoughtfully arranged. The design is simple yet elegant, with warm touches that make it feel like home. The apartment-style layout was incredibly practical – a spacious living area with a comfortable sofa and pillows, a large table perfect for working or enjoying a meal, and a bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep after busy days in the city. The curtains blocked out light perfectly, and the lighting in the room was cozy yet bright when needed. The kitchen was a wonderful surprise – fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and even an electric kettle. Having this option made our stay even more comfortable, whether we wanted a quick snack or a home-style breakfast before heading out. The bathroom facilities were also excellent. Everything was spotless, the shower and bath were modern and easy to use, and we especially appreciated having a washing machine – such a valuable convenience for a longer stay. The separate sink area with a wide mirror and good lighting was perfect for getting ready. Every detail of the room showed how much thought was put into the comfort of guests. It wasn’t just a place to sleep – it truly felt like our own Tokyo home. The atmosphere was peaceful, the furniture was comfortable, and the overall cleanliness and organization exceeded our expectations. Staying here made our Tokyo experience even more enjoyable. We always looked forward to returning to the room after exploring the city, knowing it would be a clean, calm, and welcoming space. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Tokyo, especially around Kinshicho, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Perfect location, wonderful facilities, and a beautiful, well-maintained room – it’s everything you could want for a comfortable and unforgettable stay.

AAnonymous UserIt was surprisingly clean and cozy, which made for a comfortable night's sleep! The only minor inconvenience is that there's just one elevator, so you might have to wait a while when going up or down. The women's shower room is located on the 7th floor; I used it around 10 PM and 8 AM and was able to get in right away without any wait. The location near Kinshicho Station is convenient for walking, but the presence of several 'love hotels' in the immediate vicinity was a bit off-putting.

GGuest UserMy stay at Tora Hotel Asakusa offered a mixed yet overall pleasant experience in the heart of Tokyo’s historic Asakusa district. Nestled in a quiet, residential neighborhood, the hostel provides a safe and serene environment, making it comfortable to return late in the evening after exploring the city. The location, while charming and peaceful, is about a 10-15 minute walk from Asakusa Station. For those weary from a day of sightseeing, this distance might feel a bit far, but the tranquil surroundings help balance it out. The dorm-style accommodations are functional, featuring standard metal bunk beds. While sturdy, the beds can be a bit noisy, particularly when someone is moving on the upper bunk, which might disturb light sleepers. The shared facilities are clean, though it’s worth noting that showers are located on the ground floor, which may be inconvenient for those staying on higher levels. Towels and basic toiletries are provided upon check-in, with the option to purchase additional sets if you prefer daily replacements—an understandable policy for a budget-friendly hostel. Storage is provided via metal lockers, which are secure but can generate some noise when accessed, so considerate use is appreciated to avoid disturbing fellow guests. The front desk staff were generally welcoming, though their English proficiency varied. Some were fluent and eager to assist, while others were less confident, which occasionally made communication a little challenging but never insurmountable. Overall, Tora Hotel Asakusa is a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers seeking a safe and affordable base in a vibrant part of Tokyo. While there are minor inconveniences, such as the walk from the station and the shared facilities, the low cost and peaceful neighborhood make it a worthwhile option for those prioritizing value and location. I’d recommend it to backpackers or solo travelers looking for a no-frills stay with easy access to Asakusa’s cultural gems.

AAnonymous UserStayed here for one night as an experiment and I actually liked it! The capsules are spacious and clean and I slept quite well. There is even a sleep quality analysis option which is an interesting experience. And the interior design is minimalistic and elegant However, the lockers are quite narrow and not suitable for large amounts of luggage (although there is an option to store it in a storage room). Shower was a tiny bit dirty but it was still adequate. The location is a bit inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage, you need to carry it uphill from the metro station (the neighbourhood is quiet and cozy though!). Overall, it's worth the price I still recommend it if you want to try something new

GGuest UserIt's near to ginza line but 15 mins walk to asakusa line. Staff is polite but varied depending on who was on duty. Some were not so friendly but one lady and young gentleman were very kind and helpful. One thing which I really dislike is that every day at about 11am the counter staff would go around the whole place to do clean out and nobody is at the counter at all for quite some time.

WWeiHooI have tried a few capsule hotels, this is by far the worst. My capsule was on the fifth floor, but the lockers are located on the fourth floor which is very inconvenient since the shower is on the eighth floor. There is a sitting area outside the capsule room which is an unsightly mess as shown in the pictures. The mattress is hard and uncomfortable. What bothered me the most is the door that supposed to shun off the noise from outside, made a loud noise when it closes. I wonder if they are not aware of it or no one complains to them. Imagine how many people comes in and out the entire night and the cranky noise disturbed my sleep. I hope the management will be made known of this default. I will never come back again.

CChristopherI wrote a longer review of this place that covers the basics. After I ended a business trip I decided to stay on in Tokyo so just rebooked at this spot on the app. It seems like the staff here run bookings mostly with a hand written ledger --- when I mentioned to them I was staying longer they just made a note of it and then left me a message when it was confirmed, very chill. Overall the staff at this place were pretty great. I was there for two weeks and in the time I was there I saw maybe like ten different people working there. As an English speaker, sometimes there was a language barrier, but it was never really a problem, and there is clear signage about all of the most important policies all over the place in English, Korean, and Chinese. It was always a friendly experience, most of the ppl working there were older with a kind of caring auntie vibe, so that was fun. At one point I asked to move bunks because a guy on my floor was super sick, and they arranged it with no hassle or fuss, which I really appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place for the staff.
