We stayed at the Astrid Lindgrens village in connection with a visit to Astrid Lindgrens word the next day. Check in was easy enough, and we found our way through the village to our “house” amongst the village. They have done an excellent job making both the housing and the playgrounds in theme, and they are well maintained. Note there is a pretty extensive checklist as others have noted about how you must clean the house before you leave. Ours was quite small but big enough and in good condition including big fridge and cooking facilities. As the houses are built so close to each other, we had issues with the amount of noise from other families partying outside in close proximity to the house where all windows needed to be open to cool the house down while putting the kids to bed. Cute yes, but for the steep price the lack of sleep from the noise and the time spent cleaning the following day took the gloss off the visit a little.

Der Camper-Stellplatz direkt bei der Astrid-Lindgren-Värld ist seit der heurigen Saison völlig neu gestaltet. Check-in funktioniert ausschließlich online, was an und für sich nicht unbequem ist. Mit dem Nachteil allerdings, dass auf dem Platz selbst im Normalfall keine Ansprechpersonen anzutreffen sind. Der Platz selbst verfügt zwar über zwei Spielplätze, ist ansonsten aber lieblos und wie auf dem Reißbrett gestaltet (Kunstrasen!) - ohne irgendeinen Bezug zur Astrid-Lindgren-Welt. Einziger großer Vorteil: Der Platz befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Eingang des Erlebnisparks - ebenso wie zu zahlreichen Supermärkten und Restaurants. Allerdings ist er für das Gebotene viel zu teuer - vergleichbar mit den Preisen eines 4-Sterne-Campingplatzes. Und die Serviceeinrichtungen (Duschen, WCs, Spülbecken, Küche...) sind zwar sehr sauber und neu, allerdings für die Anzahl der Plätze deutlich zu klein dimensioniert. So bleibt ein äußerst mittelmäßiger Eindruck.
