Hyatt Centric Ocean Front Xiamen

Absolutely loved the hotel! The location is fantastic – just a stone's throw from the beach, and right next to Zengcuo'an. The newly renovated hotel is beautifully decorated, with its Nanyang-style decor being very photogenic. There were no strange odors, the service was excellent, and the dining options were also quite good. The front desk staff even upgraded us to a sea-view terrace room, which made me especially happy! My only regret this trip was the weather, but I hope to visit again soon!

Music Beach Square is about a 5-minute walk away. Bus stops and subway stations are conveniently located nearby, and it's close to attractions like Zengcuo'an and Yefengzhai. This makes it incredibly convenient for both leisure vacations and shopping trips. * **Amenities**: Many rooms offer sea views, featuring a modern, minimalist island-style design. They are furnished with wooden furniture and decorated with marine elements. Balconies come with a hanging chair, and bathrooms feature a wet/dry separation. Some rooms even boast an oversized circular bathtub perfectly positioned in front of a floor-to-ceiling window, allowing guests to enjoy the sea view while soaking. The hotel's rooftop infinity pool is perfect for Instagram-worthy photos, and the 24-hour gym faces the sea, offering an excellent workout experience.

The hotel is situated right next to Zengcuo'an and is also very close to Music Plaza. However, getting in and out of the hotel is quite inconvenient. You have to take a long detour because there's a large, empty parking lot directly in front, but no direct pedestrian access. This makes walking to and from the hotel extremely inconvenient. As a newly opened hotel, its overall hardware facilities are quite subpar compared to other properties launched around the same time. It might even fall short of budget-friendly chains like Atour or Holiday Inn Express. For instance, the toilets aren't smart, and the TVs don't offer screen casting, which is a major drawback for younger guests. I'm really unclear about the hotel's target audience or positioning. Getting back to the room package, despite the front desk claiming we received an upgrade, our room on the second floor was still a less desirable one, completely lacking any sea view and located in a separate building. The elevator situation was also inconvenient; you had to switch elevators just to reach the pool. Furthermore, the staircase leading to the pool was quite convoluted, although the view from the top was admittedly nice. Overall, the hotel's internal layout and guest flow design are genuinely unreasonable. In conclusion, unless you have a strong specific need for the Zengcuo'an location, I would recommend looking into other hotels. Overall, this hotel simply doesn't meet Hyatt standards, not by a long shot, considering all its aspects. At this price point, you'd be much better off choosing a hotel near Huangcuo Beach.

We had communicated with the hotel ahead of time, and they kindly arranged to push the twin beds together, which made for a really comfortable sleep for our family. The new hotel is lovely, and from our balcony, we could enjoy a distant view of Kinmen Island. On a clear day, the coastal Ring Road is absolutely breathtaking! While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, the Shacha noodles were unbelievably good – I found myself finishing an entire bowl of that amazing broth every single morning!
