A Serene and Majestic Escape from the Bustle Weary of the bustling ancient town, choosing to stay at Yundu Scenic Guesthouse in Baisha was hands down the best decision of this entire trip. The guesthouse is nestled in a quiet village, offering an incredibly peaceful environment where the only sounds are the wind, birdsong, and the majestic call of the snow-capped mountains. The breathtaking phenomenon of 'Golden Mountain Sunrise' each morning was a daily highlight, a magnificent spectacle we could enjoy exclusively from our room or terrace. The rooms are simply designed yet comfortable, and the facilities are brand new. The complimentary breakfast was comforting and satisfying, and the small gym was perfect for basic workouts. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel completely at home. I'd read reviews praising its 'peaceful environment, far from the hustle and bustle,' and it was exactly what I was looking for! If you're seeking tranquility while still wanting to experience the spectacular snow-capped mountain views, this place is absolutely ideal. It truly deserves all the high praise and excellent ratings. (A little insider tip: make sure to experience the evenings here! The sight of the 'cyan-robed little mountain' (a unique nighttime view) somehow radiates a wonderfully warm and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended! 👍)

This B&B is probably one of the largest in Baisha Ancient Town. Newly opened in 2025, it's fully equipped and very new, with an electric toilet, humidifier, and more (even a huge ironing machine, so thoughtful). There's also a mahjong room, karaoke, and billiards room. There's also a dedicated elevator to the upper and lower floors. I was given an upgrade upon arrival. The room I stayed in had a more rustic and fresh feel, which women probably love. It had a 270-degree floor-to-ceiling window and a bathtub. You could see the snow-capped mountains from the bed or the tub. The photos were stunning, and the owner is incredibly skilled at taking photos and videos. If you're not good at it, you'll be fine. If you're traveling alone and it's difficult to take photos, ask the owner to take them for you. They're even better than those taken by travel photographers, hahaha. There's also a larger observation deck on the 4th floor with a wide view. In good weather, the photos are fantastic. We have one-on-one butler service, and during afternoon tea, we offer a beautifully presented afternoon tea (coffee and various snacks). You can also sit in the lobby and enjoy tea. I had my butler deliver it to my room. There's also a goodnight dessert in the evening. I also experienced the owner's airport pickup van. It was very high-end, with large screens for movies in every seat. The overall facilities and service are super five-star. This is a must-see when visiting Baisha Ancient Town.

We stay for 2 nights (11-13 Sep). Excellent view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain 玉龙雪山 & location is walkable to Baisha Ancient Town 白沙古镇 and is accessible by car . Our room is on the 2nd floor and they eagerly helped to carry our luggages up. Spacious room, with a balcony view and has a projector with good selection of movies. Communication was seamless through WeChat and we could ask about laundry and misc stuff in there. Although we had no luck with golden sunrise on the snow mountain 日照金山, the view is still beautiful. Breakfast was included with plenty of varieties. We requested for breakfast in the room on the first day and went down on the second day. Our bellies were full to the brim. At night, they lit up the bonfire in the garden but we never had the chance to join since we were tired from exploring during the day. They have a resident cat who is always busy in the garden. Would be great if toilet has bidet and the stairs up to 2nd floor has a roof extended out to shelter from the rain. Staff were really attentive and helpful as well. Overall, a comfortable stay recommended for all.

I was amazed from the moment I entered the gate. There are surprises everywhere. There is also this natural wabi-sabi style B&B in Baisha. The front yard is very natural as a whole. Every place is just right for me. Where is it really? Every shot without any processing is perfect. What’s even more surprising is the backyard, which has a wooden house, a bonfire, and a large platform. You can lie on a deck chair and relax while facing the snow-capped mountains. It’s really comfortable to stay in any B&B anywhere. Once you arrive at the B&B, you stay there all the time to relax. It’s really I don't want to go anywhere. The bedding in the room is very comfortable. Because I came here in winter, the temperature is still relatively low at night. The whole room is very comfortable with floor heating. Every experience reflects the careful layout of the B&B. Everything used is carefully designed. It is designed and very comfortable to use. Such a treasure B&B is really rare. This trip is relatively short and I will leave after one day. Next time I come to Lijiang to stay a few more days, I will come to the B&B to relax. Highly recommended. PS: The store manager is super nice. I was tired from walking around Baisha Ancient Town, so I made a special trip to the ancient town to pick me up. A treasure hotel I accidentally found, super satisfied! The hotel has a great view. The top floor observation deck and the public area water view can clearly see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. You can enjoy the scenery immersively without running the scenic spot. The private soup room booked is spacious, the Naxi style decoration has a texture, the bedding is comfortable, the spare parts are high-end fragrance, the private soup water temperature is just right, soaking in the snowy mountains during the day, watching the stars at night, super decompression. Butler service is very intimate, adjust the room temperature in advance, send good night tea, the whole process does not disturb. The healing activities are also praised, Songxuan relaxation, Jiama Tuo prints a sense of culture, and handwork can be taken away. A few hundred meters walk from Baisha Ancient Town, super quiet, the hotel has its own cafe, the public area swimming pool is also very popular, afternoon tea with snow-capped mountains is super comfortable. One of the highlights was their adorable pet dog, Yuan Yuan, who added a sweet touch to the stay. I would definitely visit again!

I had browsed numerous options beforehand and booked one night just to give it a try. After checking in, I was so completely blown away that I immediately extended my stay for three more nights! I've visited Yunnan many times, and upon arrival, getting a taxi to any destination is incredibly convenient and hassle-free. Nearby places are within walking distance, and even the furthest spots are just a bit over 10 km away, so transportation is absolutely no problem! The guesthouse's design truly showcases meticulous craftsmanship at every turn. The massive, 4-meter-wide, floor-to-ceiling windows perfectly frame the snow-capped mountains, transforming the view into a breathtaking, dynamic oil painting. Even the charming wooden cabins in the courtyard are so picturesque that every casual photo turns out stunning. The owner truly embraces the 'less is more' philosophy. There's no unnecessary clutter; instead, the focus is on creating a relaxed atmosphere that allows guests to fully appreciate the majestic snow mountains and enjoy a unique sense of tranquility. It's genuinely a top choice for a relaxing getaway! Finally, a special shout-out to the landlady – she's not only beautiful and kind-hearted but also has impeccable taste. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone – you won't regret it!

The hotel is right at the entrance of Baisha Ancient Town, but it is very quiet at night. There are welcome fruits when you check in. There are several kinds of fruits that are washed and cut. They are delicious. Breakfast will also be delivered to the room in the morning. There are 3 very well-behaved and clingy cats 😍 There is an electric blanket on the bed, which makes it very warm to sleep at night. The toiletries are all disposable! The most important thing is that the boss is very friendly. It happened to rain for two days here, and the boss took the initiative to lend us an umbrella, one for each person. In the evening, he invited us to drink together. We drank several glasses of white*. If the weather is good, we can also roast fire together in the yard. We didn’t buy the local baba, and he specially bought some for us to try. When we went to the high-speed rail station, he helped us with our luggage and sent us on the train. I have recommended it to my friends.

The most satisfying hotel I have stayed in Lijiang! The attitude of the lady at the front desk of the hotel is really super good. Not only did she patiently help to check in, she also took the initiative to help carry our bags and take us into the room and carefully introduced the room facilities and WiFi password. The room is large and clean. It is really warm and has a homely feeling. The toiletries are also very good. The room also has an intelligent voice butler who is on call and is really obedient. It is really beautiful to see the sunrise in the room at 6:30 in the morning. It is really good to have breakfast until 11 o'clock. When we left, the boss asked the butler to send us to Baisha Ancient Town. It is really considerate. I sincerely recommend that you must stay here when you come to Lijiang for tourism.

I took my family on a 7-day, 6-night trip to Yunnan. We stayed at 37 Courtyard in Shuhe for two nights and were completely impressed the moment we arrived. The owner, a Guangzhou native and Shanghainese, has decorated the courtyard with exquisite quality. From the tissues and water to the beds and pillows, they're all well-known brands we use, and you can tell they put a lot of thought into it. Before we left, the owner provided a detailed itinerary. After we arrived, he even recommended nearby restaurants and other worthwhile attractions—very thoughtful. My elderly family members stayed in two standard rooms and kept praising the delicious breakfast, which offered both Chinese and Western options, with a wide variety of choices. The entire house is decorated with pine wood, and the subtle pine scent was so soothing, which made for a wonderful sleep. The rooftop terrace is also very comfortable, perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. I had originally wanted to stay an extra night, but unfortunately, it was fully booked the day before I left, so I didn't get to stay, which was quite a shame. I'm planning to come back in the winter after getting off the train. The overall experience was excellent: the service was attentive, the accommodations were comfortable, and it felt like great value. If I ever visit Yunnan again, or even Shuhe, I'd definitely stay here again, even in the winter, just to relax and unwind—it's truly so comfortable! There's also a small shop selling Chinese-style clothes just outside the B&B onto the main street. They're unique and well-priced. I bought three sets of clothes, and the elderly were delighted. 🥳
