Designed by Kengo Kuma, this is a relaxing hotel filled with the scent of wood. 30 years have passed since Chikugo, and it was said that it would be closed and rebuilt at the end of September. The staff in charge of check-in were men and women from Nepal and Bangladesh, but they were fluent in Japanese and there was no discomfort at all. From the hotel building guest rooms to the hot spring building where you can go on a day trip through a long corridor, I walked barefoot and felt the wood on the floor was the best. Wi-Fi was only connected to the restaurant, not the room. The hot spring was quite spacious and relaxing, but the sauna was out of service. The food was a general kaiseki meal and the morning was also a general menu.
