Introduction Spring Flowers Viewing in Beijing

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

This year, the spring flowers are blooming 1-2 weeks earlier than last year. The winter jasmines in many Beijing attractions have started to bloom. The best viewing period is expected to be from early to the end of March.

Beihai Park

In the early spring days when the weather is still cold, the winter jasmines in Beihai Park are blooming quietly, delighting visitors with a surprise for the season. Inside the park and beside the road leading to the Western Paradise, several clusters of forsythia are blooming vibrantly. The golden dots of these flowers contrast beautifully with the red walls, ushering in the prelude to the spring flower season.

Yuanmingyuan Park

The weather has been fine recently, and the willow branches in Yuanmingyuan Park are green and the winter jasmine flowers have started to bloom. These small and exquisite golden yellow flowers look particularly brilliant and dazzling in the sunlight and against the clear surrounding waters. Wild ducks and mandarin ducks in the park fool around in the water while looking for food, creating a poetic image of spring.

Qingfeng Park

In the bustling central business district lies a hidden paradise of tranquility: Qingfeng Park, which many consider as a hidden gem of the city. Built along the river, Qingfeng Park is home to many ancient buildings, such as the Shenmu Yaobei and the Tonghui River Second Gate. This is where legend says Cao Xueqin, a Chinese novelist and poet during the Qing Dynasty, had a tea party with his friends, which adds a touch of culture to the park scenery. The forsythia flowers in the garden are in full bloom. Together with the flowering river water, they offer an aromatherapy experience for all visitors.

Taoranting Park

Recently, people online said that the winter jasmines in Taoranting Park have started to bloom, signally the arrival of spring with their little golden flowers. The Banished Immortal Pavilion Scenic Area and the east side of the Shengchun Mountain House Scenic Area are the best viewing spots. When the flowering season arrives, jasmine blossoms fill the place with brilliant golden dots. Hanging on strange rock formations and stretching along the quiet lakeside, these bright and beautiful flowers are ready to delight everyone with the stunning colors of spring.

The Summer Palace

Winter jasmines are planted in many places in the Summer Palace, including the Ziqidonglai City Gate, North and South Terraces of Renshou Hall, Nanhu Island, Farming and Weaving Map, and Changguan Hall. Every year, these flowers announce the arrival of spring with their wonderful colors. When the flowers are in full bloom, they cascade down trees like waterfalls with strings of goose-yellow flowers hanging from drooping branches. Immerse yourself in these splashes of gold as you stroll through the garden.

Gui Jie (Ghost Street)

Many restaurants are open 24 hrs, but the street is at its most lively in the evenings. This mile-long food street features more than 150 restaurants and has been serving up late night noms since the Qing Dynasty. With its iconic red lanterns, it’s difficult to miss and provides a lively night market experience that won’t break the bank. The restaurants here serve specialties from all over China, with some of the most popular being crayfish, bullfrog, hotpot, and chuan chuan (spicy skewers in soup). Our tour guide bought us here. He said this is the place where locals comes for eats and drinks after dark, thus the name. The spicy small lobsters are very good. Remember to ask for the mild spice level. It is already extremely spicy for almost everybody in my opinion. The lobsters are to be ordered in quantities of 10. #beijingtrip #urbanexplorer #cityoverlook

Lama Temple, Beijing

Where: Beijing When: August 2019 This temple is the combination of Han Chinese and Tibetan styles. It is one of the largest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in China. It was the tallest Buddhist temple in Qing dynasty. Nowadays the temple is attractive with it’s rich colors and variety of buildings. It’s crowded most of the time but there are benches you could sit and rest for a while #beijing #mytripvlog

Stey-Wangfujing

Stey-Wangfujing Is Beautiful modern design of the room! Has a small kitchen in the room, a fridge with free water and tea. Smart home system is something that was very nice to try out too! Comfy bed, fantastic smell of expensive perfume as soon as you enter the room, good toiletries (if you don’t have a toothbrush, you should tell the staff, they will eagerly provide it but originally you are required to bring your own). Excellent location, right next to the metro station - Dengshikou, literally 5 min walk. The staff is super friendly and helpful! Although it took us quite some time (an hour or more) to register and provide all the green codes since we were traveling still at a “vulnerable” time of covid. The common area is beyond any expectations. Free coffee (amazing one!!) and tea and soda and the space is exceptionally cozy and modern. They have a huge common kitchen with a fridge, an oven (and what not) so you can easily make yourself a yummy breakfast (or even dinner) there. We absolutely loved our stay!! #uniquehotel #templeblessed #eventcelebration #art #easylife #bestislandtraveltowns#themepark#nationalpark#lakes

Botanical garden at its most beautiful 🍂

#fallingseason I just love this park near the fragrant hills mountains and during autumn it is definitely a must visit. The change of colors in this spectacular season is just stunning and this is one of my definitely favorites in Beijing. 🚇 During this popular season to come to this area it can be extremely crowded so I do recommend coming by the subway, there is a stop just by the main gate. 💰5 Rmb for entrance and 50 Rmb more if you want to enter the greenhouse and the Wufu temple. #beijing #garden #autumn

Trip to China 🇨🇳

Second time to Beijing, China and we just love it. We fly to China with Singapore Airlines again and the journey was fantastic. This post is about my favorite place, restaurants and foods in Beijing. I’ve always wanted to visit Beijing National Stadium since 2008. The stadium is easily accessible by public transport. We bought the ticket online in advance as we wanted to go in to the stadium and have a look 😍 If you just wanna take some pictures outside, no ticket is needed. I would recommend you to visit the stadium around 7pm as they will on the light at 18:40 - 21:30 🕤 The interior and exterior design is fantastic and definitely worth to visit 😍 Beijing National Stadium 📍1 Guojiatiyuchang S Rd, Chao Yang Qu, China, 100101 My most favorite restaurant is Siji Minfu Roast Duck Shop. They served the best Peking Duck I have ever had 💯 Not only Peking Duck, the salted pepper Duck and Almond Tofu were also very delicious. The price is considered above average but the taste was very good. If you’re to visit there during peak hour, make sure you eat something light before you go as the queue could be really long 🤣 Siji Minfu Roast Duck Shop 📍XC69+X62, Hepingli W St, Andingmen, Chaoyang, Beijing, China, 100029 If you’re looking for best dessert, I would recommend you to try WanChun JinFu (万春金福). The lychee sour plum dessert was very refreshing and even ordered extra. It tastes abit sweet and sour 💯 We also ordered Osmanthus Red Bean Paste dessert. It wasn’t too sweet and you can smell the aroma of Osmanthus. This combination turns out to be very good! The price is slight expensive, but considering the location, the price for restaurants nearby are quite similar. WanChun JinFu 📍景山前街故宫博物院坤宁门东侧坤宁东院 #foodie #vacation #city

Yanqi resort 🏡

💁🏼‍♀️ If you are tired of crazy fast life of Beijing this place is a perfect choice. 📍 风车广场,Huairou district, Beijing city. 💰 I am not not sure about the price since I didn’t book. 🏃‍♀️ It also has a big field, you can take a walk or run or play. I saw children playing football. 🎢 No attractions nearby, no shops, very few restaurants. But it’s close to Yanqi river. You won’t be feeling bored but I think 2-3 days are enough. A well planned weekend is enough. 📸 @_ana_mee_ on Instagram #beijingtrip #huairou #chinalife #yanqi #summervacation

Beijing Shichahai | Northern Countryside Painting.

The Shichahai Lake is as clear as a mirror, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds. The breeze blows, ripples, and the waves sparkle like diamonds. The willows on the shore are swaying, and the willow leaves are green. The lotus flowers in the lake are gorgeous, either blooming or budding. In the distance, ancient buildings are scattered, temples, palaces, and courtyards exude charm, forming a beautiful picture with Shichahai. 🌟Gong Wang Mansion: Located in the northwest corner of Shichahai, it is a well-preserved Qing Dynasty palace, once the residence of Heshen. 🌟Shichahai Ice Rink: Located on the south bank of Shichahai, it is one of the most famous ice rinks in Beijing, where you can go ice skating in winter. 🌟Shichahai Bar Street: Shichahai Bar Street is one of the most famous bar streets in Beijing, with a variety of bars and cafes, a great place for young people to gather and relax. 🌟Yandai Xie Street: Yandai Xie Street is a commercial street with old Beijing characteristics, with a variety of snacks, handicrafts and specialty shops. 🌟Shichahai Boating: Shichahai Lake is clear, and visitors can rent a small boat and row on the lake to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Shichahai. 🌟Shichahai Surrounding Food: There are many delicious foods around Shichahai, such as Barbecue Season, Baodu Zhang, Xiaochang Chen, Quanjude, etc. Visitors can taste authentic Beijing cuisine here.

Quick Escape to the Lavender Resort ⛰🌻💦

I used a didi taxi to get there from Beijing. It’s approximately 1hr away. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for under 100¥. Wearing comfortable clothes, carrying swimwear and snacks is advisable. The area is mountainous and you will find lots of beautiful flowers all around you. It’a definitely worth a whole photoshoot. There is a mini waterpark and picnic area which I really enjoyed after all the walking and exploring. There are change rooms and showers to freshen up after your swim. An overall please try experience with beautiful views and scenic spots. It makes for a great short escape from the business of of Beijing!

Beijings Hutongs

When in Beijing, I’m sure most people hear about the hutongs. These areas are tiny streets with micro apartments and businesses lining them. Rooftops here are made use of completely and every doorway gives off a quirky feeling. Wudaoying was the main hutong I spent time in, here I found various cafes - Metal Hands being my favourite, as well as an amazing Mexican style restaurant (Pebbles). This hutong is located close to Yonghedong (Lama Temple) Exit E. This exit brings you out against the start of the hutong. It’s definitely worth walking down the alley first to take in the area before deciding where to visit for food or drink or shopping. #awesomepic #urbanexplorer #travellater #tripblazers #cafe #foodie
