I usually stay at a hotel near Kochi Station, but this time I stayed at Dormy Inn Kochi because I wanted to eat bonito tataki at Hirome Market, which is a famous restaurant in Kochi. From the airport, it took about 25 minutes by limousine bus for 900 yen one way, and I arrived at the hotel 500 meters from the Kita-Harimayabashi bus stop through the arcade. It was about a 5-minute walk from the hotel to Hirome Market. I had free midnight soba noodles from 9:30pm and it was great. I would like to stay at Dormy Inn Kochi again when I come to Kochi. For bonito tataki, I recommend Yairo-tei at Hirome Market.

The hotel is located in a remote area, suitable only for self-driving tours. The hotel is situated on a cliff, offering a very quiet environment. All rooms face the sea, but it is a bit dated, and the large bathhouse is a bit far from the rooms, which may be inconvenient for elderly people. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast and dinner were also good.

The ”Yudono-Suiyokaku” at the Sancuiyuan Hotel is the only natural hot spring in Kochi Castle. Seasonal Tosa cuisine is served for dinner. It was a great stay and good food, and it was another wonderful day in Kochi.

Comfort Hotel Kochi became our 12th hotel on this journey, and honestly, it was one of the most pleasant surprises so far. We checked in earlier today, and the location immediately scored big points — it is just a comfortable 5-minute walk from Kochi Station, making arrival very easy. The hotel itself feels brand new, and that freshness really shows. The lobby is slightly more spacious than other Comfort Hotels we have stayed at in Japan, which made a great first impression. Check-in was smooth even though it was done via a machine, and there was a friendly staff member nearby who stepped in to help and speed up the process when needed — a small touch, but very much appreciated. We were assigned a room on the highest floor, and to our surprise, this turned out to be the biggest standard double room we have ever stayed in across all Comfort Hotels in other cities. The room felt new, spotless, and thoughtfully laid out. The entrance area was spacious enough to fully open our large luggage without playing Tetris — always a win. The bed was comfortable, and while two pillows were already provided, I was able to get additional ones easily. There was a proper desk and chair, making it comfortable to sit down and work. The TV felt modern as well, with YouTube available, which was a nice bonus after a long day out. Even the bathroom was more spacious than expected, adding to the overall comfort. What made the stay even better was the free breakfast included for both nights of our stay, which always adds great value. On top of that, the streetcar station is also within walking distance, making it very convenient to explore Kochi without any hassle. Overall, Comfort Hotel Kochi exceeded our expectations — modern, comfortable, spacious, and well-located. It was a solid and satisfying stay that made us glad we chose it.

Definitely NOT A 5 star hotel quality and service. When we arrived, we were not greeted at the door, we had quite a few luggages but none of the staff even insisted on helping. The rooms felt small, nothing interesting with the interior (to be honest, it felt just like a better version of a business hotel), no bathtub in the rooms just a plastic shower room. Another thing I noticed is due to having only two elevators, I often encountered to full elevators especially during busy hours when people go to the public bath on the 5th floor. We also had to pay 1000 yen per night extra for parking which I find it absurd. The staff were not very attentive and all looked kinda like students. Overall, this hotel should not be ranked 5 stars. I will not go back.

This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of major attractions like Hirome Market, Kochi Castle, and Harimaya Bridge, as well as JR Kochi Station. There's also a streetcar stop right in front, which makes getting around very easy.

The hotel was recently remodeled, so it was incredibly comfortable. It felt like I was in a brand new room. As is typical for business hotels, the room was small, but it was comfortable and convenient throughout my three-night stay. There's a small public bath (for men) on the top floor, but the large windows prevented any feeling of stuffiness, making for a comfortable stay. The location was also great, right next to Kochi's famous market. Oh, and it seems like Hanwha Eagles players often use this hotel during spring training. I'm not a fan, but it was nice to see them.

I stayed here while sightseeing along the Shimanto River. The amenities here included lotion, milky lotion, and even makeup remover, which was extremely convenient for female guests. (*^ω^) They also had game consoles available for rent, so I played the Famicom, my childhood obsession, for the first time in decades! (There were several other game consoles to choose from besides the Famicom.) There was a souvenir shop and restaurant right next door, so I had no trouble finding a place to eat or buy souvenirs. ☆ The shower and toilet were separate, and the sofas were spacious. I had a comfortable stay. I was also given some snacks along with my welcome drink. It felt like a great deal.

TTraveller CThe hotel is dated but has lots of charm! Yes, the fittings and furniture is old and outdated but everything is working as it should. The room (twin room) was generous in space by Japan standards. Here are some plus points about the hotel: 1) The windows can be opened fully to allow generous amounts of wind in (not the usual small openings). 2) The hotel staff are so generous and kind, they allowed us to check-in early and check-out late without charge! This is also the reason why we will definitely stay here again if we are in Kochi. 3) Hotel is located in the heart of all the bars (there were hoards of salarymen hanging around the area in the night and it gets very lively) 4) It’s a cosy hotel with no frills (so bring your own shampoo and conditioner if you are fussy about it). To manage your expectations, note the following: 1) It’s an old establishment, so don’t expect everything to be sparkling new or matching. No usb outlet charging as well. 2) Due to the location, you might hear lots of street noise if you open the windows at night. All in all, a wonderful little charming hotel, run by people who have the interests of their guests. Highly recommended!

LLZHWhen we first arrived the front desk told us that we reserved a smoking room. In the trip.com booking it does not say so though. The front desk said all similar rooms for non-smoking were booked out. We went up to the room but it smelled so bad that we asked agin for a different room showing them the booking. According to the hotel the booking was not directly forward to them by trip.com but by a different service therefore it varied from our actual booking. They were nice enough to give us a different room which was non-smoking. Unfortunately the room still smelled strange - at least no smoke smell. Additionally there was almost no hot water coming out from the tap. In the photo the hot water was fully turned on. Another issue was the parking. The one night stay fee was 1000 Yen (not for 24h). We checked out at 11 a.m. but decided to eat lunch in town and leave the car at the hotel parking. We took out the car at 2 pm and had to pay an additional fee of 1200 yen.

LLinyuRINGOThe hotel is about a ten to fifteen-minute walk from Nakamura Station. However, its proximity to souvenir shops, restaurants, and convenience stores makes it quite convenient. Just be aware that the nearby restaurant closes at 9 PM. Breakfast is a complimentary buffet for guests. I can only say the Oden was delicious, but everything else was rather subpar. It was fully booked due to Golden Week, so I couldn't switch to a non-smoking room. However, the window could be opened for fresh air and ventilation, and there was also a humidifier in the room, so I was still reasonably satisfied.

GGuest Userthe hotel room is nice , best shower even in Japan. but the sink is too low, good size for the child , too low for an adult the hotel has swimming pool, the pool is belong to the gym , normally require the membership ,but you just need to show the counter that you are staying in the hotel they will let you in. if you dont have the swimming suit, they have the swimming suit to borrow which was nice . they don't really speak English, that was a little tough to communicate. they have laundry machine at 3rd floor to use. the breakfast was acceptable , if you are foreigner, like western food , they have croissant, chocolate bread, salad, bacon. it was a good stay.
