"The hotel room was clean, big and comfortable. I had lake view. The hotel is located near the lake, the beach and restaurants as well as convenience stores and bus stops. Gangneung Coffee Street is a bus drive of 15 minutes away. However, I was shocked when the staff informed me about the admission fee for the swimming pool: 30.000 korean won!!!! It is not mentioned on Trip.com neither ***********. Anyway, the admission fee is far too high. I have chosen the hotel for its swimming pool. Next time in Gangneung, I will choose another hotel: this hotel only offered a clean and comfortable room, for a high price, but Gangneung has many hotels with clean and comfortable rooms, that are also located nearby the beach, lake, restaurants and bus stops, but for a better price."

"I had a very comfortable stay for three nights in Gangneung, thanks to how clean and well-maintained the accommodation was. The breakfast was fairly simple, but more than enough to start the day, and I especially appreciated the sense of space, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and comfortable. Getting around was easy whether by bus or taxi, and the location made it convenient to visit nearby attractions like Ojukheon and Jungang Market. For those travelling by car, the spacious parking area is definitely a big plus. There’s also a lovely pine forest path just behind the property, perfect for a quiet stroll. The ocean view from the room really added to the holiday atmosphere, and being able to enjoy both the sunrise and sunset was one of the highlights of staying at Shilla Monogram."

"We arrived late at night, so we didn’t have much time to explore the hotel. One thing we appreciated was that the hotel has a gym, as well as a bakery and a convenience store on site. Since room service is quite expensive, being able to grab some ramyeon as a late night snack was a great alternative because who doesn’t love ramyeon? The next morning, we finally had time to look around. The swimming pools were drained, which meant the terrace area was closed. That was a bit disappointing, but since I wasn’t planning to swim anyway, it wasn’t a major issue. The outdoor garden is beautiful, with plenty of photo spots where you can take lovely pictures. The beach is relatively small, but definitely worth visiting. The water is incredibly clear and the scenery is stunning. Getting to the beach was an adventure in itself. You have to walk across a bridge, head all the way down, and pass through a few access checkpoints. However, the journey is worth it, as it allows you to see another side of the hotel and enjoy the surrounding views. Overall, we had a great one day stay and enjoyed our experience. One tip: if you’re checking out and planning to take a taxi, it’s easier to leave from the beach side entrance, where taxis are much more readily available."

"Ramada boasts truly stunning ocean views. The location is superb, ideal for a leisurely stroll after a meal. We decided to have breakfast on our last day and were pleased to find they've added pho (rice noodles) to the menu. My mother, who had been craving something warm since morning, absolutely loved it and ate it all up."

"Great location! I stayed for 3 nights. It’s clean but they made a cleaning service only on 3rd day. On 2nd day, they just changed the trash can. It’s their rule. Good view! Luggage storage also available, so everything is okay. But I didn’t see other daily support like small lotion pack, toothpaste like other hotels provide. There’s only 2 tea packs and 2 coffee brew packs and 2 water bottles. But they gave 2 one time used indoor slippers."

"The facilities are great, the staff are friendly, and everything was wonderful. I brought my parents, and they were both very satisfied. It was incredibly clean. We booked a garden ocean view room, but having the pine trees in front of the ocean actually made the view even better. For reference, room 917 is the second-to-last room on the floor, and it offers a view of both the ocean and the pine trees. The bathroom was pleasant, and the toilet was automated. The air conditioning cooled the room down instantly. Check-in is officially at 3 PM, but they said if a room was available, they could do it at 2 PM. We arrived around 1 PM, and they had a room ready, so they let us check in for free at 1 PM, which was a huge bonus! I'm really happy with our stay and would definitely come back. For breakfast, you need to book a time slot the day before using Catch Table, and they give you a QR code at check-in. Hotel guests get a 5% discount, so it was 55,100 won per person. You pay for breakfast separately when you eat. The weather was a bit chilly, so we didn't use the pool, but there weren't many guests in May, so it looked spacious. We used the bar on the second floor, which has an unlimited wine program. I think it was 25,000 won, which wasn't a bad deal. There are also four elevators, so you never have to wait long."

"The room was new, very clean, and spacious, with a small private terrace. Overall, it was great, but the room didn't have universal power outlets, which was quite inconvenient as I didn't bring an adapter. The bathroom was nice, but the lights were under the mirror, making it less convenient to use. Also, the hotel is located on a hillside. It's easy to walk down, but going back up, it's best to take a taxi as it's quite a distance, and carrying luggage would be a real test of stamina. The lobby on the first floor is very upscale, with decor similar to a high-star hotel. There's also a convenience store on the first floor, which makes it easy to buy things."

"Overall, it was a fairly standard stay, saved by the brand reputation and great location, but the value for money was low. 2400 a night for a five-star hotel was indeed a bit pricey. I chose it because it's under the Banyan Tree brand, and there's a lot of hype about it on Xiao Hong Shu (Redbook), but the actual stay wasn't great. The front desk is on the second floor, and check-in was smooth. The staff's English was decent, and they spoke a little Chinese, though there weren't many Chinese guests there anyway. The room wasn't very big. The mattress firmness and size were reasonable, and the windows were floor-to-ceiling. The downside was that they couldn't be opened, so ventilation relied entirely on the air conditioning. Upon entering, there was a noticeable smell of fresh paint. Room service ended at 9 PM. The infinity pool is on the 21st floor, which seems to be the hotel's main selling point. Hmm... the good thing is the water quality is excellent, but the water temperature was too high. It would probably be great in winter. The pool isn't very large, and there's also a warm pool next to it. The lounge chairs were packed very tightly, probably mostly for sunbathing, and the flow of traffic felt a bit congested. Usage hours were from 8 AM to 12 PM. According to Korean law, children are not allowed in after 8 PM, which is pretty standard across Korea. Next, the worst part of the experience: the soundproofing was terrible. I could clearly hear guests walking and talking in the next room. We were woken up in the middle of the night after falling asleep, and it took two calls to the front desk and about 30 minutes for someone to come and speak to them. The room environment and service level truly don't match the brand and price! I hope they can improve, which is why I've offered these suggestions."

EEEErikaaaTraveling with a 2-year-old child It was nice that there was a children's playground, an indoor pool, and a large hot spring bath. The child was very satisfied. The dinner buffet had delicious snow crab and sashimi. There were various activities on site, as well as a convenience store, restaurant, and cafe, so we could enjoy ourselves all day at the resort. About 20 cm of snow fell in the middle of the night, but the staff worked hard to shovel it away, which was great. There were mats laid in the pool to prevent slipping, but they were not all over the place, so the tiled parts were slippery, so please be careful if you have small children. I asked for bed guards when I checked in, but they never came to install them.

GGuest UserHotel is clean and fun. Our family enjoy much. They have treasure hut and uncountable lego blocks in the room. My girl loves this hotel the most in the whole Seoul trip. My girl enjoyed the little game in room, the swimming pool, a small warm pool, indoor children playground very very much! For car parking, we followed the naver map arrive the hotel. When we got there, they didnt allow us to park in front of the hotel, and we need to drive back to their specific parking area, and took shuttle bus back to the hotel again. This action wasted us an hour to go and back, and even waited around 30mins for check in. If they allow us to put down the luggage and do check-in first, and park the car later, that would be much better. It is sad for the 1st impression. And I found the locals would ask the staff to park their car for them to the specific car park. How come this could not be the same to foreign guests? One more is not good about the dinner buffet. This was paid, W90000. When we got there after swim, around 8-8:30pm, the food left not much. But they close at 9:30pm. They refill slowly slowly.

TTuxannie WuanThe place is good, 7 minutes to ski and has a supermarket and eatery place nearby. Honestly the room is nice, with cooking facilities but the owner was not friendly at all. The toilet was stuck and leak they came with only the plunger and ask us settle ourself. Is winter and we came with kids, the kids built a snowman and they destroyed the snowman after we went for ski trip. We are a group of 10 and we wanted to cook our dinner. There is a small hut with table and chair and BBQ facilities, we ask to BBQ facilities (We are willing to pay, 10,000 won as stated) but she said is winter so we can’t use the BBQ pit, ended up we use the stove to cook up the meat. The husband and wife came in to the huts and told us we can’t do BBQ but we explained to her we just cook the meat and we didn’t do any BBQ. We left the place with cleaner than we came in. I have to WhatsApp her and show her the place is cleaned. The warn us that we must left the place by 1am but in fact all of us finished eh 9.30pm every day since we are tired from Ski. During the last day, they came to us and I was thinking they come and say goodbye but they just make sure we throw every single piece of rubbish outside the house. My husband wear shoe and just step to take our luggage and the owner insist us to take out the shoe before we went in to the house. Although we have explained, we just step in and take the luggage and go, he insisted us to take out the shoes. I have been travelling all around the world and we do understand every cultural is different but as the operator of tourist industry, the owner has to be service minded. If you can’t accept any international travellers then please do not list your place in any platform or put up a notice that international tourist is not permitted to stay there and we won’t book accordingly. Is such a shame to see this happened to us after our 5th trip to Korea and our 3rd trip to Pyeongchang for ski.
