Busan, the second largest city in South Korea

Busan has historically been a hub and bridge for cultural exchanges between the East Asian continent and maritime cultures. Located at the southeastern tip of the peninsula, Busan is South Korea's second largest city and its largest port city. Originally a fishing village, it was known as Dongnae during the Silla Dynasty and later named Busan. The city's shipping, tourism, automobile production, and parts are quite developed. Home to South Korea's largest seafood market, Busan's city flower is the camellia, the city tree is the camellia tree, and the city bird is the seagull. Busan was the setting for a movie called 'Train to Busan' which garnered a lot of attention.
