A sacred Buddhist site in Thailand

On August 4th, we arrived at Wat Phra Kaew, located at the northeast corner of the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand. It is the most famous Buddhist temple in Thailand and one of the three great national treasures of the country. Wat Phra Kaew is the most sacred place in Thai Buddhism, serving as the protective temple and national temple of the Chakri dynasty. Built in 1782, Wat Phra Kaew is part of the Grand Palace and occupies about one-quarter of its area. It is the venue for the Thai royal family to worship the Emerald Buddha and conduct religious ceremonies, named after the Emerald Buddha enshrined within. Wat Phra Kaew includes the Emerald Buddha Hall, the Royal Ancestor Hall, the Relic Hall, the Scripture Pavilion, the Bell Tower, and the Golden Stupa. The ticket for Wat Phra Kaew is also valid for the Grand Palace.
