GALUH PARK : BONDOWOSO

Bondowoso does not have a beach, unlike its neighbor Banyuwangi, which has various beach destinations. But that doesn't mean Bondowoso isn't interesting to explore. The district, which is part of the East Java Province, is still worthy of thumbs up in terms of tourism. With its natural conditions surrounded by mountains and hills, Bondowoso is a city that has a cool air and looks beautiful, so it is appropriate if this city gets the title as The Highland Paradise. Many interesting destinations can be found in Bondowoso and the most global name for a long time is Ijen Crater, although actually Ijen Crater is included in 2 districts namely Banyuwangi and Bondowoso itself. Apart from the big name of Ijen Crater, there are still many other destinations, such as a new destination located at the foot of Mount Crengih, namely Galuh Park. Galuh Park is located in Afdeling Girimulyo, Sumberrejo Village, Ijen District. The route is the same as if Trippers want to go to Ijen Crater, only the difference is that after Trippers arrives in Ijen District, they will meet a fork with a signpost where the straight direction is the path to Ijen Crater. Meanwhile, to go to Galuh Park, Trippers must take the direction to the left which will later connect to Watu Capil Village. After arriving at Watu Capil Village, the journey can continue directly to Afdeling Girimulyo where Galuh Park is located. The distance from Watu Capil Village to Afdeling Girimulyo is not that far, which is about 15 km, but because the terrain is really difficult, it will certainly take longer. It is recommended to drive a trail vehicle considering the road that Trippers will take is very steep and requires a lot of struggle, where Trippers have to pass through rocky and dusty roads, maybe even Trippers have to be willing to get down to push the vehicle. It should also be noted that there are many branching roads, and this is what often makes visitors choose the wrong path. So never hesitate to ask the local people. This arduous journey takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. Balanced by a beautiful portrait of green hills or mountains, decorated with weeds complete with beautiful flowers that thrive around it. Arriving at Afdeling Girimulyo, keep walking until you find the last hut where above the hut there is a red and white flagpole, this is a sign of the end of Trippers' journey to reach Galuh Park. If you look at it at a glance, Taman Galuh, which presents the unique charm of these hills, is like a Letter U shape.
