Here are 6 things you must know before going to Udon Thani's Red Lotus Lake: 1⃣The blooming time of the red lotus, it only blooms from December to February of the following year, please time your visit, and even if it's the right season, the best time for the flowers to bloom is from 7-10 am every day. 2⃣How to get to Udon Thani, there are direct trains to Udon Thani from Hua Lamphong Train Station or Langkawi Train Station in Bangkok, 3rd class seats are always available, 1st and 2nd class seats need to be booked in advance, any city in northeastern Thailand can take a direct train. Note that there is no direct train from Chiang Mai, you can only take a night bus. 3⃣If you go to Red Lotus Lake by yourself, besides chartering a car, you can also take a train, I remember that the station before Udon Thani Station from Bangkok is Red Lotus Lake, but you have to take a taxi to the lake by yourself after getting off, which can save several hundred baht.
