Solo Public Transportation Trip to Daocheng Yading for Three Days Sharing 25.10.30

On the first afternoon three days after I went, the weather was slightly clear. Most of the photos were taken on cloudy days. Yading is very beautiful. ① Major Transportation: 10.30 Chengdu to Yading Airport (no altitude sickness) ✈️ 11.1 Shangri-La Town bus to Yunnan Shangri-La 🚌 💡 It is recommended to take the bus from Yunnan Shangri-La to Yading Tickets✅ Lijiao Travel Shangri-La - Yading (morning, afternoon) ✅ Chuan-Zang Travel Yading - Shangri-La (morning, afternoon) I took the 14:00 afternoon bus back‼️ This bus is the one that departs Shangri-La in the morning to Yading, so the arrival time is uncontrollable. Ours was 20 minutes late. The journey takes about 5-6 hours. ② Local Transportation: * Airport carpool to the entrance of Daocheng Yading Scenic Area 100 RMB/person ‼️ The carpool driver originally said two hours, but the driver might need to go to town to pick up things, etc. Ours was not as good as just taking the airport shuttle bus directly. * Daocheng Yading Scenic Area entrance - Shangri-La Town yellow taxi 10 RMB/person, fixed price ‼️ It’s easy not to find a carpool during off-peak times. Chartering a car to town costs 60 RMB, but there is a restaurant at the scenic area entrance, and the owner took me to the town bus station for 30 RMB. Usually, you can find a carpool in the morning and evening, but I took the afternoon bus, came out of the scenic area at noon, so no one was carpooling! ③ Accommodation: Two nights in Yading Village: Daocheng Yading Langxiu Homestay 💡 It is recommended to find a hotel in Yading No. 2 Village (the scenic area shuttle bus stop is here, you can definitely get on the bus; other stops might be full) Discounted price, the owner provides free oxygen bags, but it’s not a formal oxygen supply hotel. I still had some altitude sickness and didn’t sleep well at night. 🚩 Specific itinerary ❇️ First afternoon (short route) can refer to the flight and morning Shangri-La bus arrival 14:30 Take the scenic area shuttle bus 14:36 Scenic area bus departs 15:13 Arrive at Yading No. 1 Village 15:26 Get off 16:46 Take photos at Pearl Lake 17:08 Xiannairi Viewing Platform 16:47 Chonggu Meadow (no need to walk the full circle, it’s too far) I walked nearly 2 hours for the full circle Walk near the shuttle bus side or go take photos before taking the shuttle bus the next day or on the long route ❇️❇️ Full day on the second day 8:26 Board at Yading Village (Yading Village has a separate shuttle bus waiting, not the same as the one at the entrance) 8:39 Get off, start climbing towards the shuttle bus area 8:53 Board the 70 RMB shuttle bus (sit on the right side) 9:03 Get off at Sacred Water Lake, walk to Luorong Pasture 10:00 (beautiful) 10:50 Gongga Lake 11:00 Start of Vajra Challenge Line 12:54 Milk Sea 13:35 Five Color Sea 14:52 Starting point 15:25 Gongga 16:15 Visitor Center (ate instant noodles) 16:36 Board the shuttle bus Rest for the day. If you want, you can complete both the long and short routes plus Luorong Pasture in one day. ❇️ Third day return I took the afternoon bus, wandered around Shangri-La Town at noon 🔔 Independent travel is very simple, no need to join a group!
