Enjoying the stunning Qiantang River view from the hotel

This was my first time visiting Hangzhou's Binjiang district, where I met two friends for business discussions, so I chose to stay at Le Méridien Hangzhou Binjiang. Transportation: After accompanying my mom and her friends in Wuzhen, I took a taxi directly to the hotel, which took just over an hour. Since it takes about an hour to get from Wuzhen to Tongxiang Station, then to Hangzhou East Station, taking a taxi was very convenient. Your route may vary—there’s also a subway from East Station to near the hotel. Hotel Facilities: Le Méridien’s signature feature is its artistic integration throughout the property. This location excels by incorporating many Hangzhou-inspired elements into every corner—from the front desk’s "Dreaming of Qiantang" to the lobby’s "Endless Scroll," the escalator’s "Spring Silkworm Weaving Dreams" to the guest floor’s "New Ten Scenes of West Lake." The lake-view room features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Qiantang River, with mountains and water creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The hotel pool offers breathtaking views and is located on the fifth floor alongside the gym and kids' club. The third floor houses the buffet and Chinese restaurant, where breakfast is abundant. The Chinese restaurant specializes in Huaiyang cuisine at great value—I dined there twice and shared my experience separately. The 17th-floor executive lounge offers an impressive selection, making it perfect for sipping wine while admiring the picturesque scenery outside. Surroundings: I arrived in the afternoon and met friends for dinner and discussions in the evening. We visited Nine Creeks and Misty Trees, just a 10-minute drive from the hotel—a true fairyland with no entrance fee. You can stroll up in about an hour, then take the electric cart back down for just 8 RMB per person. It was wonderfully cool, and being a weekend, many families were there with kids playing in the water.
