Jinjiang City's Wudian Market

The traditional district of Wudian Market in Jinjiang is located in the core area of Qingyang in the old city of Jinjiang, adjacent to Tang'an Street, neighboring Century Avenue, backed by Qingmei Mountain, connected to Wanda Plaza, and facing Minyue Park; it covers an area of 126 acres. The district has a long history. During the Tang Dynasty's Kaiyuan era, Qingyang was known as 'Wudian Market', and the district is the birthplace of Jinjiang's urban area; the architectural features are prominent. The unique Minnan-style 'Imperial Palace Qi' red brick buildings, Western-style buildings that blend Chinese and Western elements, and characteristic buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Republic of China, to modern times are well-preserved. It includes four of the 'Eight Scenic Spots of Qingyang', Cai's Ancestral Hall, Zhuang's Family Temple, Shigu Temple, and the government office, Cai's Virtuous Residence, Chaobei Mansion, Zhuang Zhixu's Residence, and Wanran Villa, among more than one hundred historical architectural sites.
