Crowded at Xian Du? Try the nearby Heyang Ancient Residences!

I originally planned to visit the Xian Du scenic area, but unfortunately, there were too many tourists. I didn't want to spend the whole day in line, so I stumbled upon this ancient village. It is currently the largest in scale, oldest in history, and most culturally profound of its kind in the Jiangnan region. The ancient architectural complex, covering 0.4 square kilometers, allows visitors to appreciate the thoughtfulness of the scenic area. Even during holidays, it is not overcrowded, offering an excellent experience. The area is not only rich in historical and cultural atmosphere but also offers a variety of activities, such as paper-cutting, embroidery, calligraphy, Wuyi opera performances, and water screen movies. I feel that the 40 yuan ticket is well worth the price. - Heyang Ancient Residences attractions: ✔️Xu Zhu Ancestral Hall, Wen Han Ancestral Hall, Qi Ru Ancestral Hall, Zhu Da Ancestral Hall, Gui Er Ancestral Hall, He Gong Special Ancestral Hall: Inside the Heyang Ancient Residences, there are still ten major clan-style ancient residential buildings and fifteen ancient ancestral halls. Currently, six halls are open for visitors, which require a ticket for entry. I also happened to encounter a Wuyi opera performance at the Qi Ru Ancestral Hall, which was quite novel. ✔️Xun Gui Ying Yue: Suzhou-style garden, the quadruple circular corridors give a sense of roundness and layers. ✔️Horse Head Wall: 32 horse heads in various shapes, the ancient buildings and small bridges are very photogenic. ✔️Geng Zao Yi Feng: The scene of celebrating the Chinese New Year in a quadrangle courtyard was featured in the 2015 CCTV Spring Festival Gala. ✔️Ba Shi Men: Passing through the Ba Shi Men leads to the old street, with distinctive shops such as a barber shop, Hanfu shop, barrel shop, and traditional Chinese medicine hall. ✔️Gong Ji Bridge: A national key cultural relics protection unit, this majestic stone arch bridge is a must-visit. ✔️'Only This Heyang' Cultural and Creative Store: The products are very creative.
